Pears at right tackle is a scary thing

LT- Joe

LG- Glad to hear Boone moving to LG, Him and his buddy should create a powerful left side
Thomas can take his time learning, then take over at LG in '16 or sooner if Boone needs to move outside

C- Kilgore seems to be a good leader and does not make mistakes, Needs to be stay healthy though, bit worried about that.
Though im fairly confident Looney and/or Farrell will step up this year as interior depth


RG- I really like Martin as a RG, much more freedom to use his skills


RT- Pears does look like the weak link, Hopefully he' just a placeholder, I wouldnt be surprised if we trade for an upgrade
I like the rookie Brown, but i hope that he is in-active all year, watch and learn

Right side of the line looks like a big question mark

The left side of the line is probably one of the best in the league. Actually if Kilgore starts at center we will have a good center too. The right side is weak but better the right than the left. We improve in pass pro on the left side bc Boone is better at it than iupati. Now I wish we would use Thomas at rg bc he pass protects way better than Martin which I hope we learned out lesson not to start maulers bc although they are good on power running plays, they are a liability in the passing game where we need the help. Martin is not yet good. Also pears graded out positively at tackle in buffalo of all places so he is an above average rt.

Like usual. Cant understand what the thinking is with Pears being over there. We have to be able to better than that.

What's up with Thomas? Who was he running with and what position? I haven't heard anything about him

Go get Evan Mathis already and plug him in at RG or LG and move Boone back to RG. Marcus Martin is making my fears come true. Didnt like the drafting of him and so far after a not good rookie year, his 2015 1st practice was a mess.

one day of practice, lets see what happens on day two and three. bowman will plant alot of people. coach said you do not knee jerk after day one of practice. obviously he has never been a member of the niner web zone

Kilgore not coming back until mid August will hurt continuity and I was hoping Thomas would find a way into the line up. They're probably taking it easy on him, like they are with Dockett and Bo. I'm not sure I'm sold on Martin being ready for prime time.

If they are prepping Boone for LT, does that mean they will re up his contract? There's going to be money to spend.

The 9ers have four or five guys who can fill in at center but I'm hoping Martin takes the position now that Kilgore is on the shelf for a while. Hard for the team to have a center who is oft injured. If Looney can be the center, or backup to Kilgore, this year then the line should be interesting! I sort of amazed that they have so many guys who can play the position but sad that no one has taken it outright. Mixed feelings...
