The O-line is going to be our Achilles heal once again. Yeah the team hasn't thrown on the pads but sorry fellas the writing is on the wall this line will struggle all yr long. Let's hope Kap learns how to improvise & has learned to release the football quicker then b4 & takes off when is necessary.

There is so much going on we don't know.
The reasons I can see from my armchair--
- Planning for Boone's departure via FAcy
- They love Pears at RT
- Signing Boone at a discount next year and then moving him to OT
- Boone is less talented than we think as a tackle

What do you do with Kilgore When he comes back?
Sounds to me like they want him at C that is why Martin is the RG. I would personally like to see Staley, Thomas, Kilgore, Martin, Boone.
Till the pads go on it is just footwork drills anyhow. I am excited to see how the line progresses over the next few weeks. I expect to hear about a lot of different looks, I just hope one of those looks is really good.

I think the coaches have made a decision that its most important to protect Kaps blindside. Even if the right side is a sieve, at least Kaps athletic ability will give us a chance when he sees them coming.

The reasons I can see from my armchair--

No way they're going to basically sabotage him to try to push his negotiating power lower. They're gonna put the best players in the best position for this year.

You are most likely correct, but I'm not sure what they think of Boone going forward. Is he in their plans? If so I would hope they will be negotiating with the guy for an extention. Can they really think Pears at RT and Brown as back up is the best plan? Doesn't seem like a great plan but I may be underestimating both.

this is by far the worst O-line in 5 years. I don't think Kap will survive the year especially in this division.
