Martin getting a lot of reps
What's disappointing is that we aren't hearing about any improvement in Martin & Thomas. Pears shouldn't even be put in this position. He sucks as a guard so its hard to imagine him being any good at RT. If they are sticking with Boone at LG over RT than it just leaves a major depletuon of talent to play RT. Davis's retirement hurt more than any other loss this off season. The tomimg of it really hurt.
I am usually optimistic this early into camp but man o' man what i keep reading about how bad the offensive line is. I am starting to really get worried that this will eventually be our down fall unless management comes up with a plan quick.

So what happens when the pads go on Tomorrow N yet once again the O-Line gets abused by the D-Line?

Does Baalke N company continue to sit back N continue to risk some other team signing Evan Mathis?

We shouldn't waste any more time sign him asap .Then move him to the LG N move back Boone to RG that might stop the eternal bleeding of this horrendous O-line.

Have we heard anything on Thomas? He's buried on the depth chart, which is fine with me, he hasn't played football since 2013, ease him into it
Bunch of bums minus Staley.

How is joe Looney even still on roster? Now he gets first team reps? Yikes

Should have drafted lael collins.

Seriously. s**t! If our ol gets abused it will hold back kap and the whole offense and put more stress and time on the defense. Pads will help the ol a bit but not that much
dont pass judgement on either line at this point, but you had to know the dl was going to be way beyond our ol.
IMO the season relies on the offensive line.

That and if Kaep doesn't do retarded ass chit like fades to Sherman.

It is a whole new blocking scheme...I expect growing pains. It is going to take a little time for it to come together. I do worry about RT though. I don't like Pears. Would much rather sign Mathis and kick Boone out to tackle.

Probably dead. Darth Baalke had him stuffed so Kilgore could use his prosthetic leg to prop up his corpse so people will still buy tickets to watch the game from the bar.

Pears was a good RT on 2011 and 2012. His pass protection has always been good on the edge. He has historically lacked the strength to excell in a man/gap scheme. If he starts, that should be a strong hint that zone running will be a dominant influence (or that he was telling the truth about getting stronger here than he has ever been).

This is the truth. While the concerns are legit and justified,it's WAY too early and the DL is and should be light years ahead of the OL. The good news is that the DL's experience, talent and depth will force the OL to grow up and grow up quickly...I hope.
