The Bears are eager to move on from Cutler and as reported last week, primed to make a real run at Illinois native Jimmy Garoppolo.

Sharing this only because Shanny has interest in Garappolo.

I'm not saying it's going to happen, but we can offer a higher draft pick in all rounds of the draft. We also have more draft picks to work with. Honestly I'd rather draft and develop a qb.

Jimmy has about much say as Kirk Cousins has had the last 2 off seasons. Zero. The franchise tag makes it hard for players with a year on their deal to have any say in where they are traded. Only thing that will get him paid is if he balls out next year and get's the franchise tag or signs a long term deal, no team is going to pay him top QB money without seeing him play more and I don't think he wants to sign a under market contract right now if he is going to have a year to show how good he is and can get way more money.
