Some of the posters here, well, I have to laugh. You guys are tearing down a new coach and GM in their first season. They inherited a team that was lacking talent in every position group, they were late in hiring coaches due to the HC being in the super bowl, and this season isn't even half over! I am sure that if the legendary coach Bill Walsh had to put up with the digital age and pages like this, that the same guys complaining about the current coach would be voicing the very same complaints about BW.
It is simply much too soon to pass judgement on the direction this new coaching staff is heading. There is so much work to be done and they are setting about the task of doing just that. Certain players were brought in, not because the coaches were expecting big time results, but because they knew the system, the attitude, that the younger players needed to learn. It is clear that there will be more turn over in the roster at the end of this season, as the coaches decide what each player is capable of. Expecting wins this season is futile and it was from the start. Not every move made by the coaches has worked out, but then, nobody is perfect. Mistakes happen. Learning from them is paramount. Walsh inherited a team that went 2-14 the season before he took over. He promptly went out his first season and went 2-14 with that team. The next year they improved all the way to 6-10. Give these guys a chance, instead of running down everything they do that isn't working, look at what might be turning around. That's what the coaching staff is doing, looking at players that are improving vs players that aren't and taking notes. Strengths and weaknesses, improvements and declines. Building a winner from the garbage heap in the NFL isn't done over night. Give them time, they'll need it.

Pardon the interruption.
I think most reasonable fans understood that KS was going to have a learning curve. Same for Lynch. I also believe that many of us, I'll include myself in this, were so relieved to be done with Baalke and his sullen ways, that we automatically embraced Lynch for his demeanor and openness and overlooked the fact that he too would have a learning curve. KS came with a great pedigree and recent history of success. We embraced him as much for that as being done with college-level offenses from prior regimes. The result is that when the reality of the limited roster and the level of competition set in, we were jerked back to reality...and it has not been pleasant. There is just too much "newness" and too little talent in critical areas of the roster to expect much more than we have seen.
One thing that needs to be stressed is that when a course of action has been plotted out, the sooner it is put in motion the sooner you can move on and build from it. Yes, I would like to see Bowman still here. Same with Kerley and even Brooks. However, keeping those guys around when the decision was already been made to go in a different direction only slows down the development of young players. So while I am not happy with the results, I do not believe that having all three of them on the roster would have made the outcome in any single game any different than it was.
As to young players throwing temper tantrums; that happens. It needs to be corrected, and it appears to have been addressed. We will now see if the players involved will learn from it or if it will drag things down. Maybe Robinson just does not have the right temperament (and talent?) to be a player. IDK. This is the time to find out who can contribute for the long haul and who cannot. That is what I believe KS and JL are about right now.
The silver lining is that Lynch has surrounded himself with good football people to help him along. We have all applauded him for that. Now we have to trust that those decisions that we all applauded will bring the future we all desire.
As to Shanahan, he came here with a handicap in time. For reasons that neither he nor the 49ers could alter, he was hired so late in the game that he was limited in terms of staff hires. All the good ones were gone, and some others likely chose to sit on the sideline for now to see if this franchise, with a 10+ year history of train wreck after train wreck after train wreck, could finally right itself. For that reason, I expect there will be some changes in staff this coming off-season. Saleh appears to be overmatched at times. I hope the OL is not just lack of talent but that better coaching could help (not optimistic). There may be other moves coming as well as Shanahan shows how well he weathers this difficult time. There have been positive signs, and for now, we will have to be patient.
Patience is not a virtue that fans possess.

Don't bother him while he's on periscope waving to his imaginary girlfriend from his deck.

Brooks has only been on the field in 4 games at GB with at total of 6 tackles and 1 sack. The guy had nothing left.
I believe there was more to it than just performance.
Brooks has not bee the best citizen on the team in past years. I think it may have been as simple as Lynch not wanting to take a chance on a guy who might create an "issue" while taking time from a guy who might develop while not be a potential problem child.
