His numbers are pretty much on line with his career numbers outside of his Uber year last year. I don't follow ATL that close, but my assumption was they were keeping Kyle's WCO and just switching playcallers. Sarkesian has WCO roots. When Kyle installed his offense in 2015 it was a change of styles from an Air Coryell to a WCO. In these situations you usually have some growing pains.

I'd assume that the verbiage and everything would remain. That wasn't the case in 2015. Going from a Coryell to a WCO is a total change in verbiage. They share similar plays, but the way they get there is different and that's usually what causes the struggles in the first year of a new system. Another example would be when Kyle left Washington.....they didn't switch systems. They stayed with a WCO and it really benefited Cousins in the long run.

It's also what helped us during our dynasty run. Walsh-Holmgren-Shanahan-Trestman-Moreniwhig-Knapp was all WCO Guys. Now the talent of the playcallers were obviously different, but the system remained.

Another loss especially bad and it will be interesting to see how he handles the locker room. i do not think the players are buying into the tank job like alot of the fans are. sunday was the first time since maybe vernon that we saw players get into it on the sidelines and actually vernon was just mad by himself,. i can not remember when we had guys going at each other. bad optics. and just the tip of the ice berg if this thing continues. something interesting to monitor,

The good ole Yankee route or Deep cross has been a staple of Kyle's offense and his Dad's/Kubiak's. You can pair it up with posts or corners.

Paired with a post

Paired with a corner-post type route

Paired with a corner out of 21 personnel

Paired with a corner out of 12 personnel play passing off of outside zone run

I loved the hire. However I didn't expect KS to turn us into a top 10 offense with Brian Hoyer & CJ Beathard. When his offense is fully installed, has a legit OL and a FQB, then we can see how good the offense can be.

Right now its all about roster turnover, developing young guys, accumulating talent in the offseason.

I still think KS was a fantastic hire by Jed.

Shanny will be fine. Lets get some toys in FA/draft and truly see where were at.

What's your favorite donut? I want to be prepared to share with you some of my pecan twists.
Brilliant mind; he needs some experienced coaches on his staff. When Harbaugh was hired, the first thing I noticed that his coaching staff was stacked and had experience in almost every position. (except for I wanted Shaw instead of Roman as the OC)

I can't say the same for Kyle. Again, brilliant football mind but he needs a more experienced coaching staff.

It could have played a factor in hiring late... Lets see if he decides to make any changes this off season.
Im sure well have a couple changes.
Here's a link to a short podcast with Shanahan talking about the current state of the team. Worth listening to for those of you who are actually interested in what Shanahan is thinking as opposed to making up your own stories about him.
