Why assume we'll go after Tomsula instead of Belichick? As pointed out it's just fear tactics. He's hired Harbaugh and found Kyle a few years later. The Eagles showed Reid the door and followed up with 2 SB berths with 2 different coaches. There is no reason to believe this team will go into another 20 year slump by firing Shanahan. It's an ignorant assumption made by fans that for the most part we're born after our last SB and don't know any better…

These guys want Ben Johnson in hopes that he will be the next Kyle Shanahan. Let that sink in. The reality is that if Jed fires Shanahan, another team will swoop up Shanny an instant, and Shanahan will have the next team winning before the 49ers sniff .500 under whatever pathetic hire Jed makes.

Kyle isn't a bad coach, but he has made a lol of frustratingly poor decisions this year. Sure, he doesn't have the personnel to do what he wants to do. We don't even have the personnel to consistently do some of the basic stuff anymore. No one is open and Brock can only run half the time.

It feels like Shanahan is trapped at least partially. He knows the counter to what teams are doing, but we just aren't good enough to do it.

The decline of Deebo and Trent has been monstrous. Banks has regressed. We have no linebackers at all behind Fred. Our corners are actually fine but FS is madly inconsistent. We actually have talented pass rushers but I think Floyd is actually #4 in terms of ability between everyone I've seen out there. He's not working out.

There's a LOT we can do to fix this team going into next year, but we have no chance at the playoffs with this group.

For some it will be a slow burn. They'll eventually catch on. The sad part, though, is what Hoov already stated. Once Shanahan is shown the door, a lot of fans, pundits, and analysts will come out and state the obvious: Kyle Shanahan lost the team years ago and the Niners should have gone with a refresher after the second SB loss when Kyle once again collapsed. When you or Koldo or myself point this out in 2025 or 2026, we'll get the same response you're getting from Hoov. Something along the lines of we didn't know s**t and we were just spit balling bc we were jealous of Kyle or just wanted the team to lose or we're fair weather fans.

Some ppl just come late to the party, then blame the host when all the food is finished.
