Cards and LA already beat us but I will play along and say we win one of those. Not enough for the post season. Not enough for a winning season. Best realistic case 8-9. Highly possible 7-10. Possible 6-11.

if the Niners beat GB this weekend will you stop posting for the rest of the season?

Believe in Josh dobbs eh?
Kyle needs to shut players down for the season. I'd shut down CMC, greenlaw wouldn't see the field at all this season. This season is a wash
The way you can always reliabily identify a person with an inferiority complex is they can Never admit when they are wrong. They are pretending to be someone they are not, so their guard is always up so that you don't see it, so they will never admit error.

I lost a ton of respect for Kyle when he said that his "analytics department" told him to receive in the SB. Who the H is that? Nobody in their right mind employed as a ball boy in the NFL would advise the HC to give Patrick Frikin Mahomes the first opportunity to win the Super Bowl. No they didn't, Kyle. You didn't read the memo from the league on the overtime rule change for the SB. And you couldn't admit it. You expect your quarterback to always take the blame, even when it's not deserved, but you the Head Coach can't after gross negligence?

Kyle Shanahan certainly has his chops as an offensive guy, but is he a Head Coach. NO! Does he sucessfully manage his Special Teams? Does he control his Defense when he doesn't have a top man to do that for him? Does he keep the fight up in the players? Does he manage games well? Does he have success defending a lead? Does he have an overall success rate coming from behind? Is he quick to play better performing youngsters over veterans dropping off due to age, injuries, or enthusiasm. In Atlanta, when the only chance the Pats had was to get a sack, does he give them that chance? No it was not your RB's fault because you had designed him in protection. It's your fault for not understanding their desperation and attacking motivation, when all you had to do was run the ball. Is his judgement good in game situations? When the defense is stopping what he does, is he quick on his feet to mix it up and use that aginst them? I get it. You are head down devising plays and trying to set stuff up, but do you lift your head up to see if they are already ahead of the game plan you devised on your computer in the office?

This team can attract just about any offensive coordinator in the league (defensive too, but I don't want to go that route). OK, so we can be confident that Ben Johnson would be pretty good on the offensive side of the ball, but would he be a good motivator, would he be good managing ST and D, would he be a good game manager? Right. We really don't know. But we know he's smart, he's a football guy, and there is no reason to believe the answer is no, and the alternative Kyle we Know is a No. A gamble that offers good prospects is better than the status quo which has proven inept.

As the saying goes, Kyle has taken us as far as he can. Time to breathe new life in this team.

once again we are injured..

So quit paying older veterans that are far more prone to injury, trade them for more draft picks, and be Far more willing to play your younger guys, and you won't be so injured, you won't be running into a wall, and you'll have a far bigger stream of young talent. Quit thinking you can't win without this veteran or that veteran. I know I know you'll choke on this, but Bill Walsh Always got rid of his veterans before they or the fans thought he should, and none of them played better after they were traded, and that robust stream of youngsters gave him a high enough percent of winners to stay on top until long past his retirement.

So you're saying don't keep anyone past their first contract due to future injuries ?

I don't see where I said that. That's not an old veteran, and your young veterans are likely the backbone of your team, but since you brought it up, on another tack, if they're a Diva and demand more than they are worth, their percent of the cap amounts to too many eggs in one basket to gamble on their still unestablished performance or their health.

the team is not even out of it and you're ready to tank the season. that's exactly how you do lose a locker room.

some of these fans want to give Shanahan a lifetime contract. 49ATT will debate the greatness of Kyle with you using NFCC and SB "appearances" without once mentioning what happened in those games. It's the magic of spin Shanafans have mastered. Reread the last 2 pages of this thread. 49ATT mentions that Kyle led the team to 5 of the past 6 NFCC games. 2 of the last 5 Superbowls ! Those STATs alone will give you a Kyle boner as if he's some coaching guru. But then you bring up the fine details like what happened in those games and before you can blink 49ATT will attack you for not knowing anything about football and being a fair weather fan.

its the magic of being part of the Shanahan cult.

This is why no one takes you seriously, all you do is mock REAL 49ers fans and talk s**t about Kyle Shanahan all day.

Don't fret, they will come around after next year. Kyle doesn't change.. he is regressing. Two years of missing the playoffs should snap folks out of the trance. Two years of losing seasons will be enough to sober most fans up.

That was just plain embarrassing. Even KC players said they were shocked we didn't kick off first.

He clearly had no idea that playoff OT rules were different than regular season. Makes me wonder what would have happened if we did score a TD. Would the team go running on the field as if they won a SB? Lol.
