I lost a ton of respect for Kyle when he said that his "analytics department" told him to receive in the SB. Who the H is that? Nobody in their right mind employed as a ball boy in the NFL would advise the HC to give Patrick Frikin Mahomes the first opportunity to win the Super Bowl. No they didn't, Kyle. You didn't read the memo from the league on the overtime rule change for the SB. And you couldn't admit it. You expect your quarterback to always take the blame, even when it's not deserved, but you the Head Coach can't after gross negligence?

Kyle Shanahan certainly has his chops as an offensive guy, but is he a Head Coach. NO! Does he sucessfully manage his Special Teams? Does he control his Defense when he doesn't have a top man to do that for him? Does he keep the fight up in the players? Does he manage games well? Does he have success defending a lead? Does he have an overall success rate coming from behind? Is he quick to play better performing youngsters over veterans dropping off due to age, injuries, or enthusiasm. In Atlanta, when the only chance the Pats had was to get a sack, does he give them that chance? No it was not you RB's fault because you had designed him in protection. It's your fault for not understanding their desperation and attacking motivation, when all you had to do was run the ball. Is his judgement good in game situations? When the defense is stopping what he does, is he quick on his feet to mix it up and use that aginst them? I get it. You are head down devising plays and trying to set stuff up, but do you lift your head up to see if they are already ahead of the game plan you devised on your computer in the office?

This team can attract just about any offensive coordinator in the league (defensive too, but I don't want to go that route). OK, so we can be confident that Ben Johnson would be pretty good on the offensive side of the ball, but would he be a good motivator, would he be good managing ST and D, would he be a good game manager? Right. We really don't know. But we know he's smart, he's a football guy, and there is no reason to believe the answer is no, and the alternative Kyle we Know is a No. A gamble that offers good prospects is better than the status quo which has proven inept.

As the saying goes, Kyle has taken us as far as he can. Time to breathe new life in this team.
another rant after taking the team to the NFCCG 4 out of the 8 years. in those years he didn't make it to the NFCCG we were devastated by injuries..

once again we are injured..

All you have is HOPE!!

Exactly. I'm sure there are plenty of fans on this board that hardly ever post (like me) that appreciate the ones that do post and we take them all seriously, whether we agree or disagree with their thoughts. Just because someone is the loudest, doesn't make them the smartest. And just because someone is critical of the head coach, it doesn't make them less of a fan.

To those of you that post here on both sides of the Kyle argument, I appreciate you.

I've been on this board for many, many years. I had an account years ago but then the board was rebranded or something, I don't remember, so I created a new account. Just because someone doesn't post doesn't mean they're new.

You should have started with "Kyle is my favorite and I hope he never gets fired" and he would have welcomed you with open arms and referred to you as a beacon of light in a thread full of darkness…

All true but when these entitled posters do nothing but regurgitate their spew over and over and over like a troll on roids...if only the mods would IP Ban
I'm tired of the "we are injured" excuse. That's not gonna fly this year. Deebo is playing like crap. Warner started the season excellent but the last few games has not made that much of an impact. The running game was fine before CMC came back. Brock is not trusting the line and holding the ball too long. Aiyuk was garbage before the injury (although I think he would have turned it on as the season progressed). The D is vanilla (again) and just not clutch in the 4th quarter. Same can be said about the overall offense.

This team is just not that great, or underperforming. This year has not been because of injuries.

Some things I look forward to:
1) Greenlaws return
2) CMC getting in better football shape
3) Mooney Wards return? Maybe?
4) Deebo hearing the criticisms and hopefully responding well to them
5) Potential better line play when Felicity Hoffman returns

When a coach makes a mistakes in one game, you call him out. When he makes the same mistake in the next game, you call him out. When he makes the same mistake in the third game, you call him out. That's not trolling. That's pointing out the obvious.

when in those same 3 games, posters blame players in week 1, then refs in weeks 2, then injuries in weeks 3….that's closer to trolling. And maybe those fans should be held accountable instead…

They do IP bans, but there's always a way.

This board has been the same since at least Jan 5 2005 when I joined. I've never changed my handle or used another account. I visit this forum almost daily, at least weekly, and have never had problems accessing my account. Try again....

The warner thing is interesting. I think he's a really good player but I knew that without Greenlaw his play would drop. Warner has always had excellent linebackers start beside him since he's come in. This is the first year hes had to do it all

He's overcompensating. Campbell is that bad. Doesn't make sense why Winters isn't in there for most snaps. Campbell is a liability…

Take away a big piece and any unit will suffer. Warner has played well but he's being asked to do more than usual and it's wearing him down. Take away Bosa and the D line looks terrible. Take away Williams and the O line is one of the worst in the league.
