My thought on Shanny's thinking: "If Deebo can't deliver we're not winning the SB anyway." Basically became an ultimatum game for Deebo, rip the band-aid off style. Not what I would have chosen, but makes the upcoming decision this offseason far more clear. Theoretically. We won't know until March-June 2025.

my fixes

1. kyle is off personnel, and a real GM or assistant is hired to work with lynch to take kyle's role here. deebo and juice out among others.
2. lynch / his assistant hire a real DC and ST coach
3. kyle focuses entirely on O concepts and play design
4. new gm / lynch handle the draft
5. target young OL and invest in FA with a new WR

49ers have enough front office people. They just Shanahan to stop pounding the table to take players that would go undrafted in round 3.

someone gotta tell coach that his 'buds' gotta go, they are maybe 2 years past the expiration

also, we see this offense stagnating, and i think it's because all of shanny's mental energy is going to roster, defense and special teams, those units are struggling so he's probably trying to do too much. that's why we are sinking.

That pissed me the hell off last night. Instead of setting it up where Deebo would gradually get plays, they straight up force fed him. Then he rewards them by dropping passes. Unf**kinbelievable!!! Honestly, I'd like to see Russell Gage get some snaps in.

this ain't it. cuz you have been saying this for weeks. so why ain't shanny coaching up brock when it comes to the film? where is the week to week improvement? that's on both. can't just sit here after every L and say the QB is missing it. ok, well what is the HC doing about that? zero? can't just keep repeating the same mistakes every week with no adjustment.

Agree, Shanahan needs to stay out of personnel and out of draft input.

As well they need to find an OL coach who does not subscribe to the idea he can get later round picks to build an OL. We have seen this not be true the last 4 years.

Yes the rest of the team had success but no ring because of it. I know they alone did not cause the SB losses however our center and right tackle are killing this team.

Now we have to rebuild to set up a new Superbowl window. Purdy is like Breeze he needs a very good oline.

no dude, it's very true. deebo himself said it's not working anymore, cuz it's the same old bag. shanny is a victim of his own success. half the league runs our stuff teams see it all the time, rams see it in practice every week. they know what's coming. what was innovative in 2017 is now stale.

That's mostly Brian Griese's job as the QB Coach, but who's to say they haven't been but Brock just isn't learning to do it at the perfect pace we want?

Additionally, when you're talking fundamentals/approach, these things are far more offseason training camp corrections, not week to week. Especially for younger players.

It's a very fine line between being conservative and being aggressive. Brock has tipped too far into the aggressive side instead of taking what the defenses are giving him, but you don't want to completely stamp that out, which is what happened with Jimmy G in 2021-2022.

your posts are no good anymore cuz it's as if us getting worked with 6 pts isn't even registering. it's just kyle's the king, no matter what takes place. things are never so black and white. he's done good stuff, but he's made huge errors also. you can't admit kyle has made 1 mistake in his life.

on my wishlist i almost want a GM to work with lynch and kyle can focus on play design less on personnel. kyle needs all his focus on this offense.

Just wondering if we hired a GM to help our GM yet.

It does sound funny. An example would be Detroit. They have maybe the best talent evaluator GM in Brad Holmes, but they also brought in John Dorsey as a senior personnel executive. Before Detroit, Dorsey was a consultant for the Eagles, who have another excellent GM in Roseman.

Maybe SF can bring someone in to help Lynch, epecially since he's lost Martin Mayhew, Ran Carthon, and Adam Peters, in the last several years.
