I'm sticking to my original prediction after watching him in the preseason last year. I think Kittle is going to be a stud. He really came on at the end of the year and had some terrific catch and run plays in the last few games. Having had a year now to see how the Pro game is played and what he needs to do to take care of his body I think the sky is the limit for this guy.....or not.
I agree. Awesome interview and he goes over what he has done to prepare for 2019 - specially all the exercises he does to prevent injury. It looks like CJ BeatHard is very much like Jimmy. At least that's what I get from his interview.
As the season went along kittle played less, anybody know why?
What makes you say that? He had one of his biggest stat games at the end of the year? Are you talking about snap counts? If so post the stats. Or are you just trolling? For now, here is a game by game breakdown of his receiver production. He missed the Giants game with injury, and was playing in some pain other games.
I read some article for breakout players where some journalist stated that. So that's probably where he got it from.
Kittle by all means had a very, very good rookie season. Can't wait to see the growth from him. Tight end is a position where it's always good to have a strong stable of guys because these guys take so much punishment, it's not uncommon for some to miss a few games here or there. Just look at other guys at the position -- Vernon dealt with injuries early on. Gronk has a well-documented injury history. Jordan Reed, Jimmy Graham, Greg Olsen, and a bevy of other names have all had their share of injury troubles.
I like Celek as the backup, and I'm curious to see how the fight for the third TE spot shakes out between Hikutini, Dwelley, and Wick.
I'm looking forward to the camp battle at TE... they did not draft a TE, or sign one in free agency, picked up Dwelley as an UDFA...
I think the dude to watch is Cole "Dirty Martini" Hikutini, he is right on Kittle's shoulder and IMO ready to pass him up!
Can't say I agree with that -- Kittle is superior to Hikituni in just about every way I can think of. Don't see how he would be anywhere near passing Kittle up.

I think Kittle and Celek are one and two, and the third will be a fight between Hikutini, Dwelly, and Wick. Whoever can't crack #3 will be on the practice squad.

If he can make it through the season, I could see Kittle putting up some nice numbers, potentially top 10 TE numbers. As a rookie, this was where he ranked last year:
