Agree to your point about the pass rush being the primary break down. Really, Stafford should not have had that much time to throw, and also he shouldn't have had that much room to run, buy time and throw. I also don't know how the DB's should have covered that either, but from what I can see, Adrien was just too aggressive defending the run on a 3rd and 17 -- and he should have known to only drop coverage *after* Staford's passed the LOS. Having said that, it's hard to stay disciplined when a guy like Stafford has that much room to run. As you and the rest of our knowledgeable experts here said, they are newbies and have a lot to learn this year.

Poor AC keeps getting blamed, lol. He wasn't that guy, that was Fred Warner if I remember right. Colbert is the guy who takes off like a rocket after Tate in the GIF and Tate is stiff arming near the end.

Which, check out that speed by AC.... He shoots across the field with a different level of speed.

I could have sworn it was AC. Oh well. Either way it was
That's why I label the players with their jersey numbers

Come on Giedi. This is a professional thread. You don't stroll in here like HaRoman on game day against Seattle. Get your s**t together!

Yeah, if HaRoman and I learn to actually watch the Philm and pay attention to the numbers, I'd do better.

Meh, Stafford's throws are usually off. He is one of the lesser accurate top QB's in the league.

Haha lesser accurate top qbs? Which is it lesser accurate or a top QB? Or is it the truth ain't the truth?

I haven't checked his numbers but I think Stafford throws for a lot of yards which makes him a top QB but he also throws a lot of passes. He has never had a running game and for a while he had megatron where could just throw up the jump ball and 9/10 times megatron was coming down with it.

It still doesn't answer the question is he a lesser accurate passer or a top qb? I n comparison Brady has a career comp per. of 64 and stafford has a career comp. of 62. So if that makes Stafford a top qb I would also say he is an accurate passer. Which indicates that Armstead chasing Stafford out of the pocket and causing him to make an inaccurate throw is actually a great play and don't fit the narrative.

Due to the new rules, most QBs stats have increased. Brady bumped up to around 67. Brady his entire career was never under 60. Take a look at Stafford before easier passing rules started being applied. Rodgers kicks Staffords ass as well and I am sure so does Brees.

So yes, Stafford is most likely one of the least accurate of the top QBs. Even the ball chucker Big Ben is more accurate.

The truth about this game is that Matt Patricia knows Jimmy G more than most defensive coordinators in this league, and it still wasn't enough to beat us.

Pass overthrown. What's different on this play is that there isn't a route to the flat to distract the C/F defender. The C/F defender is free to match the vertical from #2.

It's like C3 Match or something, I would never expect that flat defender to run upfield like that, it looks like he looks to the flat first to see if there is a receiver there and then turns upfield when it is clear... poor route combo scheme IMO!
What do thl and JD think of this Madrid breakdown.

I hadn't gone through all of them but I disagreed with the first one. He blames the first sack on JG by saying he should have stayed with Pettis until he opened up.

But in his own running video, you can clearly see JG first looking to Garçon in the progression. This happens to be when Pettis is most open. Then by the time JG moves to Pettis, he's covered throughout and then sack.

To me this is a scheme/coverage sack and an OL getting beat despite max protection.

The only sack I can say Jimmy had a good chance of avoiding is the 3rd sack when he had Garcon on a drag route over the middle. All the others I don't consider the WR open to the point he clearly should have targeted that WR. A number of them I wasn't sure of the progression so it's hard to say, 'he should have looked here", or, "he should have looked there".

Through 2 weeks:

49ers with good production when Jimmy is under center.

Thanks thl...my review started in here and in rewatching and I came to that same conclusion as you two. Much appreciated.

I guess I'll ask again.

10 tackles, 2 assists

I like his invisibility cloak
So... Uncle Sherm claims Saleh called a perfect game and individual players just had brain farts, does the film confirm that or is he just blowing smoke up our butts?
