The vast majority of players have had an injury at some point in their careers. Even OBJ and Earl Thomas, both of whom this board was clamoring over.

Get over it, dude.

He will NOT get over it lol. This is his thing.

Also you gotta have 90 players going into camp. If he gets beat out good who cares.

Not like he has any meaningful cash coming his way.

So we know KS covets certain characteristics in his WRs- where does Jordan Matthews align w/ that?

He's become a fairly crisp route runner. Ability to create separation through precision and uses his size well.

I think it's pretty funny that you guys hate on everything the FO has done, I think the additions this offseason Re going to be awesome and honestly think they are making moves to get better. I imagine when the 49ers are on top of the division or working on that playoff berth that's when the "fandom" turns on..that's my take anyways

Sad but true. The amount of negativity is wild to me. I know we have sucked for a few years but u can see the future is bright with Kyle. And if he wants someone I trust his thought process.
I like the signing. He may not be a world beater but he has more career production than every WR we have on the roster right now.
Sub 7 second 3 cone at the combine. I don't think Shanny likes any receiver north of 7.00 second 3 cone.

Promising career, then a coaching change, and then injuries. Hopefully he can reach his potential with Kyle as his OC coach. He's had good decent production according to wiki - in his career. we shall see... This might signal that we might not get a Wide Receivers in the draft and go all out to get defensive talent - i.e. CB's, Safeties, and DLine/Linebackers.

Like this move along with others. Competition all over the squad, offense & defense! Liking this offseason

Not only that but it's not like we are bringing him and Verrett in and counting on pro bowl production. These are just low gamble signings, low risk high reward potential.
Good receiver but never had chemistry with Wentz. He performed better when Foles was QB.
Meh..not mad or anything about it but im not expecting much
From last year.

Despite his 6-foot-3, 212 frame, Matthews' bread and butter in the league has come in the slot. During his time as an Eagle (2014-16), Pro Football Focus notes that no receiver had more yards than Matthews out of the slot. Matthews also had three straight seasons in Philly of over 800 yards receiving and over 65 catches with 2015 proving to be his most productive totaling 85 catches for 997 yards and eight touchdowns.

Along with the slot, Matthews could be an impact pass catcher in the red zone for New England. Over the course of his career, he's been able to haul in 28 of his 45 targets in the red zone for 15 touchdowns.

Big red zone target and an upgrade in the slot. Another smart move by our front office.
I've wanted him for a Whiiiiiiiile now. Everytime he was available lol.

Size speed....can take a 5 yard slant to the house. Let's Go and finally prove yourself Jordan.
While I am a Matthews fan, shoulda signed Jordy instead.
