Am I excited about taking a punter in the 4th, NO! Considering our last 10 4th round picks didn't amount to a hill of beans, I'm ok with filling a positions of need. Additionally, if this is the punter they wanted there is no guarantee he will be there in the 6th.

This video proves that they loved this dude and didn't want to take the chance that someone snatched him before they picked again in the 6th. After Seattle took an equally talented punter in the 5th last season, there was a damn good chance someone saw how that worked out and would've tried to copy them and plucked this kid somewhere in the 5th too.

This is one of the most amazing stats I've ever seen, for a punter: Fewer than 100 total return yards over last 106 punts
That's ridiculously insane. Seriously.

They also traded down 6 picks before they got him and picked up two more 6ths. I imagine they would have traded down a few more spots in the mid 4th if they could have to draft him a little later still.
It should be noted they did plget back into the 5th with the Watson trade before they picked at 110, but there were still another 38 picks before that next pick, which may have been too much of a gap for another team to grab him before them.

Scouts usually don't stick around at pro-days for specialist workouts but they did yesterday for @Utah_Football P Mitch Wishnowsky. West coast scouts say it was best punter workout they've seen in years. Similar leg talent to @Seahawks rookie All-Pro Michael Dickson. #Aussie

People are ignoring his talent because he's a punter. An elite punter is a huge weapon in football. I really don't understand the hate when field position is critical to winning games.

He might end up being worth the pick even if the value wasn't great. He better be a pro bowl caliber punter though. A stat like that is huge. We shall see.

Ridiculous pick. We got Bosa so the rest is gravy for me but im not a fan of this draft at all past round 1.
every pick seems pre-mature by a round or 3.
There have been a lot of players taken in this draft that were chosen well above where some of the pundits slotted them.

A huge weapon when your offense can't get first downs. So maybe he will be a huge weapon for us.
