WR/OL should be looked at early IMO. I'm gonna say no to DL early.

Edge should be a priority. Blair will be out for a chunk of 2020 due to injury. Ford has chronic knee issue and plays limited snaps.

We should target edge with our 1st round pick with the idea to eventually replace Ford in a few years.

I forgot due to the lateness the injury, Blair isn't going to be in training camp, etc.

I don't think we have enough draft picks to look at edge in round 1, remember after round 1 we only have late round picks.

I think we can rent an edge in free agency for a year.

We need to protect our investment (Jimmy G), so I would think OT or even OG in round 1?

I don't see them going Edge in the 1st unless it's BPA...seems like they have more pressing needs. Guess it depends on what happens with Armstead as well.

But does Kyle ever pick OG in the first round? Doesn't he usually prefer later rounds?

Ford is under contract and he's missed one game. Resign AA and you got edge help.

Imo the edge group is subpar this yr. day 3 pick makes more sense to develop imo.

So is he playing better, worse, or the same as Kwon Alexander?

I know Kwon has a lot more experience and can sniff out plays better, but I believe Dre is a better athlete and doesn't seem to have any issues so far.

I have no concerns with Greenlaw so far. He's been tremendous.

This team is largely winning due to its play upfront on defense right now. I think maintaining that advantage is crucial, especially with the uncertainty surrounding Ford's knee. If they did nothing else, just having a top notch pass rush would keep them in competition for a playoff spot next year.

NY85 says the sweet spot in next years draft is in the 3rd round. Then trade down to the third round and pick there. I agree with NY85, Ford is serviceable for one more year, pick a raw edge rusher in the third, and with the extra picks, plug some holes and add depth.
