It's odd this year you can say that about alot of teams since there are so many sub par teams out there with 49ers Seahawks and saints all having stellar records along with Ravens and Patriots and bills.

Something that seems to be going unnoticed here is saints have great pass rush as well and can stop the run. Will likely end up low scoring affair with saints prevailing in the end.could see 13-10. Defense shines both sides offenses sputter.

Welcome to the board. Cam Jordan is an elite D-lineman but I think you may be overhyping them. They haven't faced a team above .500 since week 3 and currently have the 8th ranked Defense overall (16th vs. pass, 3rd vs. run).

Since you mentioned stats and I realize this has nothing to do with 9ers vs saints but stats have always bothered me. Stats you gave are good example. 16th vs pass 3rd vs run. Unless every team plays everybody at full strength stats really don't mean anything. One way to look at it I guess is being 16th ranked vs pass against sub 500 teams isn't saying much.Even being 3rd vs rush for same reason.

lol.

what is so funny. the guy was right. the saints have a good defense and so do we. i think the game will be like last week. low scoring. three point game either way.

Very true, what i am hoping for is that we have a better time pressuring Brees and if they get cute with Tayson Hill i like our ability and speed to stop him -- he's not Jackson or Wilson.
I hope we're on D first ... lets' establish our will early with a big stop.
Saints are going to pull some trick plays like a fake punt or surprise onside kick, I just know it. They seem to always try and pull one in big games.

Stats are one of the few ways to determine likely outcomes. They are part of the story and not all of it. The "Eye Test" is also important, and probably more so. But with 12 games played, both teams now have a sample size that's big enough to identify trends.

Can't beat us playing straight up. They'll throw it all at us, just hope Saleh prepares for that!

Speaking of trick plays, have we ever done a trick play under Shanahan? I seriously can't think of one.
The difference in coaching styles seems to be some coaches play to not lose while others play to win. my feeling here is both coaches here play to win.only problem with that is coaches try to outwit their opponent with cute plays. If they work they look like genius if they don't they look like a fool. Key for shannahan here is to stay level headed and not let game intensity get to him. Stay within his game plan he had prepared all week for.

rex ryan said the same thing about kyle. he loves us but he says kyle needs to resist the urge to run away from the run if it is working

I don't think Shanahan has pulled any tricks on special teams, the entire unit seems very basic. The Saints however use Taysom Hill a lot on fake punts.

im willing to bet payton is going to have 1 of the bs trick plays up his sleeve if the game is close or theyre behind. he knows his teams best shot to go to the sb is have home field and not play outdoors

Sean Payton is a gambler. I can appreciate the gamesmanship though.
