Meh...they're basically sacrificing pass-catchers to help block. I mean if their two WRs don't get open quickly then it's really not helping them.

FWIW cook is a awful blocker.
lol I really like Goodwin as a person but you can't be paying someone 5.125 mil next year and he isn't even active on game days. He is def going to be a cap saving cut/trade after the year.
Great stat on NFL network:

Since 2006 when he started with the Saints, Brees has only 1 win vs 10 win teams

I'd trust T.Moore over Al. He blows.

I mean K'wan can guard a s**tty Saint TE. The ravens had DBs on Kittle a lot last game.

This really doesn't change anything imo. Basically takes another pass-catcher off the field for Brees

It will help but it also makes the Saints more one dimensional a little. It also means that Brees will force feed Thomas even more than he already does which is amazing. Thomas averages 9+ catches a game, not targets but actual catches. It will basically be Brees trying to pass to Kamara and Thomas a lot more. The 49ers should be able to slow down the Saints offense if that is all they are going to do.
Someone brought up the idea of brunskill lining up as a "2nd TE" on a run package or two. Like it

hmm well how many 10 win teams has he played? might just mean that when he played games late in the season they weren't winning teams?

and it must not be counting the playoffs lol cause he has won a superbowl.

Not really. They can stay in to help pass protect and still release as receivers.

Sad. Goodwin and Pettis went from our #1 & 2 to begin the season to inactive

We know Pettis is because of his lack of results when he did get snaps - I wonder if goodwin is because of a serious injury. Although he has played a few hundred snaps and only has a few receptions. So that isn't okay either.
Thomas is basically their only pass catcher. Force somebody else to beat you. And watch for screens to Kamara

I agree that it sucks but we're in much better shape with Deebo and Sanders.
