I need some goddamn 49ers playoff season action.
Ouch

Neon Deion, "Wilson found a hole in the secondary..." and specifically mentioned the improvement after Spoon was replaced.

Sherm in his postgame mentioned Emon stepping up. He was more subtle in his critique of Spoon.

Just watched the game at lunch. Looks like Mosely didn't replace Spoon until that last possession and didn't really do any better than Spoon in covering Metcalf. Most of the incompletions thrown his way were due to inaccuracy from getting pressure on Wilson.

I've been arguing for using our 1st rounder to draft an OT for ages. But lately I've been sliding more and more into the CB camp. Spoon's just not cutting it in my opinion. Sherm's getting up in years, too, and it's be nice to have some depth there in case of injury as well. I'd feel better with Spoon as a backup.

I wonder how much Dee Ford can contribute..........Look at this snap count before his injury. I would say the loss of D.J. Jones is more painful than Ford. It's clear we don't have interior pressure any longer while there are still plenty of edge rush.

With less edge pressure has come more double teams inside.

One thing that was working in the first half of last night's game was the pre-snap threat of blitz pressure. It forced more one-on-one blocking by the Sea OL which resulted in more pressure. Why Saleh went away from that in the second half is

Yeah, who knows. They did seem to go back to it on the final drive though.

Sounds like the Niners left the game without any major injuries.

- Tartt will be back
- Ford will be back
- Alexander may be back for NFCC

Niners should be favored heavily vs. Seattle, Philly or Minnesota.

Once ford is back we won't need to blitz just like earlier in the season. Can't double both ford and Bosa on the outside
Can't double both AA and Buckner on the inside.
