The bigger question is, would Bosa have had such a successful season with the same impact in NY as he did in SF?

Most likey not. Seems like it was the perfect match.

Are you suggesting we would of won the SB if we took Q. SD knew it.

Lol, absolutely not suggesting that. I'm suggesting it was a perfect match.

And that 30 people voted for QW? Also, why would discussion about who to take if Bosa isn't there take place in the Bosa thread?

Okay. This poll is an attempt to revisit an old question. Right?

Well my point is the either/or nature of the point is for the most part off-base.

Why?

Because we didn't have the 1st pick. The storyline simply didn't play out the way the poll question suggests, because Arizona was supposed to take Bosa. That forced 49ers fans to legitimately consider a # of defensive players that weren't really ever in play.

I can legitimately say I learned alot about QW's game and life -- alot of stuff I'd have never cared to know -- because we were picking #2.

Give us the 1st pick and yes, there would've been room for a legitimate either/or debate between these two for a few months. That's just not the way things went tho.

Have fun with the question at hand as you wish,....I'm just saying the truth on the way things played out takes alot of luster off of it. Kinda dull.

Arizona made it quite clear with the hiring of Kingsbury and their statements in January, months before the draft, that they weren't taking Bosa.

It's stupid to even bring that up. The discussions were pretty clear in the draft threads.

IF Bosa and QW were both there at #2 who are you taking. The whole "well we didn't have #1 overall so we can't discuss that scenario" is ridiculous. That guy had the same thought process where he claimed we can't discuss prospects before the combine when addressing who is faster, quicker, etc.

That's the whole reason for the draft thread...to discuss prospects. Things change during the draft process as new information comes in but speculation is part of the job.

As you mentioned the Kingsbury hire brought a glimmer of hope to us that Bosa was still in play. When Murray declared for the draft it got more push obviously and then when he measured in higher than expected. And then escalated further when they didn't really show support to Rosen.

I think a lot of us were still hesitant to celebrate until we actually heard Murray to the Cards but the Bosa or QW discussion could've been had the whole time.

You had many people listing their options

1. Bosa

2. Trade down
3. QW
4. Allen/whomever
5...etc

Unfortunately a lot of the more vocal anti Bosa people have been banned so they can't be here to eat crow.

Lol

90% were *not* all in on Bosa. Hahahaha

If anything the majority were indifferent.

People are lying to themselves.

A poll was taken here a week before the draft and 77% said Bosa. 128 votes. So it really isn't that far off.

Some of it is just a remembering a few vocal posters.
Barely gave QW any thought.

yeah soon as I saw Kyler Murray's name on the screen I spammed social media by vague posting "I came"

I was not on this forum most of the season. I was on the other forum... I was back and forth on the two. I did not undervalue Bosa. I tried to see both sides.

The guy was the #1 rated player for the entire year...even while injured.

He just so happened to fall to us. This was never anything close to a major decision being made, player vs player.

His only concern was the time missed due to injury. Which, let's hope, he isint riddled with his career. He's off to a great start, but this book is far and away incomplete.

Once we get into medical and pyschological evaluations, we get into an area of information where we have no choice but to blindly hope and pray that our staff makes the right decisions.

We simply didnt have access to the information. And with our selection of Reuben Foster...I can understand why some fans would be nervous on whether or not we'd make the right call on evals we can't see.

Don't know why a few of our fans will force false narratives down our throats until it somehow "becomes" true.
