This is an important observation. Benjamin is an elite punt returner as well. 10.9 yards per return is good for 25th All time.

The last 3 signings have all been for ST. No doubt, after a terrible Superbowl, Richie James finally has some real competition.

We'll see on Benjamin as PR, but he definitely seems like he should have an edge overall. Far more accomplished on STs and as a WR than James. He hasn't done much as a returner since 2017, but does have 4 PR TDs in his career.
? Are all these. ONE YEAR ! Contract ! Guarandteed ! NO .... HELLO ! WERE GOOD ! GO 9ers !

I'm just as concerned about the blocking for our returners. It seems like the first one down always makes the tackle and James had zero shake so he went instantly down esp. in the Superbowl when we needed it most. That's also on Hightower.

Looks like they wanted Dorset and pivoted to Benjamin when he went to Seattle

How you figure? Maybe Kyle wanted a guy who had his best year in his system
Over Dorsett?
Nah I doubt that. We didn't have the cap for Dorsett

Didn't have the cap?
Short for cap space. He took an expensive one year deal I bet with Seattle

I know what it stands for but you're talking about a guy that maybe got 4 million max. I doubt it was even that much and you're betting on something that no one has the facts on.

He probably got $2 million. He's a 3rd receiver but still a speed burner and with Wilson's deep ball it's just another weapon for them. But i would've taken Dorsett maybe Lynch didn't like the fit who knows

LOL. Fans still trying to justify inactivity because of the "cap?"

These are conscious decisions, people.

Yeah, I mean I completely understand not paying someone like Peat the money he got or whatever the hell Robert Quinn got but the vast majority of these signings are short-term and not massive money. They can move cash around easily especially with the cap going up as much as it's supposed too the next couple yrs

that is what i see... respectable wide out but pretty dang good as a return man.. as the year went james made me crazy and we could use a solid upgrade there

agree.. terrible super bowl. i hope this kid can earn a spot
I always liked Benjamin. Will not be surprised if he makes the 53, solid player.
It will be extremely disappointing if Benjamin makes this team.

it just would mean our team has over valued people like taylor goodwin and pettis.. i think if benjamin would take the spot of james.. it would make us a very very small bit better in the wide out department and alot better in the return game in my opinion. you just hope whoever we pick at 13 is the real deal and another deebo and not another... well you know the names from our past
If he's fast Kyle will find a way to utilize that

i think he is already the best return guy on our team now. lol
Maybe he replaces both James and Goodwin: James gets replaced in the return game and goodwins ability to stretch the field. Free's up a spot to bring in a WR at 13
