Jamar Taylor -CB- is a 49er!

I think this could turn out to be a good pick up for us. He's a guy who has a ton of experience and can play inside/outside so he should serve as a backup to a number of positions. His highlights are very high! but his lowlights are very low! like a Great Value Marcus Peters. He was selected in the 2nd round of the 2013 draft by the Miami Dolphins. He was then traded to the Browns in 2016. He was then traded to the Cardinals in 2018. He then had short stints with the Broncos, Seahawks and Falcons before landing here in SF. He had his best year in 2016 when playing along side our very own KW. He finished his best season in Cleveland with 57 combined tackles (46 solo), career-high 13 pass deflections, and a career-high three interceptions in 14 starts and 15 games.

Most likely his best days are behind him but he could serve as an upgrade to some of the depth on our current roster.... Thoughts?

I'll take him over Akello
Good move.
Sounds like experienced slot depth mostly and familiar with the scheme. Nice. Reed was a really good ST too so hopefully Jamar can be good too.

It keeps with a theme we've seen this off season...lots of veteran depth at LB, OL and now CB.

Agree, real good CB depth with some ST experience to boot.

This. This move seems to be in correlation to Reed's injury. Taylor is an experienced special teams player and adds another body who can play both outside and inside. With Reed's injury though they needed some more slot experience especially and Taylor gives them that.

I'm pretty sure that was a typo and he meant locked up corner.
