Come on bro. Ahkello just needs to be more consistent. He's got the skills. Consistency you can gain with time. Big year for him this year and I like Moseley better but Spoon can play. Got to pick it up. Taylor is camp fodder unless someone disappears, disappoints or gets hurt. One good year since 2013 and that was back in 2016. We have a guy like that his name is Verrett. Verrett different issues same deal. Taylor is speedy so his help on STs will help him out. Not to mention our pass rush. We'll see.

I don't like Akellos mental side of the game. I don't think a player who's concerned about not getting hurt will ever have right mind state to play football. If it was flag football and Akellos only job was to cover he would be fine. That's why I'm sure he always gets the starting nod cause there's no real hitting in practice and training camp. Once he has to start getting hit by pulling O linemen and fighting off blocks he shows how soft he is.

Yeah that has been his whole thing since before we drafted him. At the pre draft meetings Lynch told him how much we liked him but needed to see more physicality out of him. He plays football like a soccer player who is good at football not a football player who is good at football.
With Reed gone, Jamar has a great chance to make the team.

Harris no can play the slot brah
Yeah the staff never viewed Verett or Harris as a slot corner. Jamar will make the team and if Kwuan has to come out, it will be Jamar or they will put Ward at nickel and Moore at FS

I like ward at nickel and Moore at free safety, instead of letting Taylor come in if anything happens to Williams. That Rams game, Ward was a machine kicking everyone's ass even Cooper Kupp!

I predict both make the 53 over Verett and Johnson

Taylor more of a slot DB and harris is a boundary CB

This. With Taylor having experience playing both outside and slot will keep him on the team imo.

I just made a connection between JTaylor and why SEA played so much base defense in 2019, even when the situation called for nickel personnel - it's because their nickel CBs (Jamar Taylor being one of them) were so bad.

Their LBers were awful in coverage as well...overall their roster is pretty subpar. It's crazy that Wilson has never gotten one MVP vote.

That's even worse then. Their nickel CBs were so bad they played their bad LBs against 3 WR sets.

Check the "2019 Nickel" row. SEA's nickel personnel was terrible. Sure Taylor isn't solely responsible for this, but he was so bad for a bad unit they cut him. Of course every DB looks better with a good pass rush aiding them so hopefully that's the case for JTaylor in SF.
