Niners sign WR Mohamed Sanu (again)

Sanu is the best receiver on this team Sunday but will probably be ineffective because of a lack of chemistry with Jimmy. Not that any of the other guys have that chemistry either but you can at-least rely on Sanu to do his job.

Jimmy had pretty much instant chemistry with Sanders, so maybe he will with Sanu as well.

Maybe we can at least get rid of Pettis now? Even a Belichik reject has to be better than the lazy, disappointing Pettis.

Pettis did his job last game and after reviewing the film, hopefully Shanahan harped on Jimmy about this and pointed it out to him. The Sanu signing tells me Taylors days is numbered more so than Pettis as the Slot is his position. Taylor looked even slower than before, which is not good for a short WR who already was slow
Did his job? Seriously. I agree that Taylor looks slow. But Pettis blew two touchdowns. A past to him which was very catchable which he didn't even put his arms up to try. Number two was when McKinnon caught the ball on like the 5-yard line and there were only two DBs in his way. And Pettis was right in the middle of both of them. Did he touch one of them? No. Did he even try No he looked lost. Do you think the only job A receiver has is getting open? No it's earning the trustee your quarterback. By catching balls when they're thrown to you. All last season tipped interceptions not trying to catch it afraid of contact. He doesn't have the trust of Jimmy garoppolo. And last week showed another reason why he doesn't have the trust. Because he won't try to catch the ball, he is afraid of contact, and he won't even attempt to block

lol okay
Hes not lying
Like a broken clock, I guess if you're just always negative about everything at some point you're gonna be right and be able to say I told you so (making generalizations here, not directed at you, FYI)
Can we give the guy a shot at least before ripping him? His best year was 2018, and he had a slightly down year last year. We'll see how it goes.
I'll stay negative to the moves that I doesn't make any sense to me..
If we really wanted Sanu, then why didn't we sign him earlier and let him compete.. suddenly, James is hurt (BS tv crap) so that we have reason to sign Sanu, and watch Sanu gets some playing time over the WRs who's been here all year long..
That's the part that I don't get.. IF you going to bring a veteran that will take the young guys spot, then bring him in and let him earn it.. don't start him because he used to play for you...
here's another ODD thing about this, why did they bring KEVIN WHITE instead of Sanu and keep him in the PQ??
Nah I would actually start him due to the fact that he'll block, and he'll attempt to make a catch. He probably also will turn into a defender if it's a possible interception which we know that Pettis will not do

But we can hardly put 3 WRs on the field and of those, one has never taken a snap in the NFL, TT really had trouble getting open, and Pettis , well he had only a couple chances, and one was pretty tough to catch. So we didn't do this out of anything other than trying to get 3 healthy WRs on the field. Why do some guys get upset with that? Jeez, we are hurting....hurting badly ...at WR. And top it off with Kittle injured, altho i hope not for long.
Guys, we had no choice. And Sanu knows Kyle's system. It isn't more complicated than that. Now let's see if he can play thru the rust and help out.
This is true. We are as the hungry child in the African desert, who would take the discarded candy bar wrapper from the garbage to obtain sustenance. This is how desperate for the WR that we are. It is remarkable how many are injured, in truth. In fact, this has been an theme for some time. I am no Grant Cohn, but I question the trainers given all these injuries. And it is an common theme for many years.

The "block" on the 16 yard Jet run pissed me off. That was my first post here after the game Sunday. That said, the long pass to Pettis missed him by a mile. Mr. Tickle would have struggled to catch that pass. Whether Pettis ran the route short is up for discussion, though.

How can this be a bad move when there's no risk at all and he's making less than 2 mil?

It's really not. The film shows it, Shanahan said it. Jimmy threw it to the correct spot. Just watch Jonnydel's film breakdown.

Yup and Kyle wanted to see a full effort for his QB there too by diving for it whether he was able to get to it or not. Like McKinnon did on Jimmy's sideline throw. That's critically important to a guy who already has an established "soft" label and trying to change that.

Yup.
Kyle's own words here:
I guess Kyle said it was a perfect throw but Pettis got rerouted a bit by Budda (JD covered this) but would have loved to still see Pettis dive for it there.

That pass to Pettis in week 1 was a overthrow I don't care what anyone says, Jimmy overthrew Pettis there. Jimmy has this tendency to stare 1 guy down, and not look around, the WRs were open in week 1 but he missed them.
