I mean, look, I get it--from a competitive perspective. But, from a logical perspective, it makes perfect sense. It's why you see teams do it. We see it in the NBA, we see it in baseball, and I don't watch enough hockey but I bet it occurs there too. And it certainly occurs in football.

I'm not advocating the 49ers tank. But to dismiss it when professional sports teams all do it because there is a tangible upside, seems more an emotional reaction than a logical one.

And as for it being over...I'm glad you're optimistic. But this team doesn't look anywhere near a contender this year. And I fully expect that to be on display again on Thursday
