When nicks on he looks so good, I know it's garbage time

"We missed some key plays that hurt us".

"I'm sure Jimmy would like to have some plays back."

Expect the usual b******t.

Yep no one is ever held accountable.... Mostly himself.

Would you feel better if Jed held a press conference with Shanahan and publicly scolded him?

Pretty much this. The whole "hold himself accountable" stuff is laughable nonsense. This is a coach that took a cratered shell of a roster and took it to the SB in a few years and has done the best he can with some terrible injury issues this season. He's shown what he can do when he has the pieces he needs but even the lovechild of Bill Walsh and Vince Lombardi wouldn't have this patchwork roster rolling.

I love Jimmy but this QB controversy will never change until he's out there healthy and we see what his backups can and can't do. And this season is lost even at .500 we aren't winning it all.

agreed. you basically know what you have with jimmy at this point, but nick's ceiling still potentially looks higher than jimmy surprisingly

I don't think Nick has a high ceiling at all. Teams can game plan for his noodle arm and have when he's had consecutive starts. He's limited.

Seattle's D was doing this the whole game...
Lol at you dumb dumbs thinking Ward is in the wrong on the Wilson hit. Wilson played a stupid game and won a stupid price. Ward did his job.

Ward was not looking at what he was hitting. Totally led with the crown of the helmet. But, he missed hitting Wilson's head. Star QBs will get that call.

If you give QBs that protection then they should be required to fully give themselves up, just like with punt returners calling for a fair catch. You either do a full front slide or you take whatever you get. This twisting, sideways sliding stuff is BS, its totally against the spirit of the rule.

Aboslutely. Kyler Murray does this and as a defender it would make me want to really destroy him with a hit. Gonna get the 15 anyway

It's the only reason Murray has been mentioned as an MVP candidate.

Would feel better if just once they said " hey we came out with the wrong game plan, and never veered from it, thats on me." But instead you gett Jimmy wishes he had a few of those back..... That is every QB in every game. That isnt a comment. Im sure Wilson wishes he had a few back as well and he b***h slapped us.

he had commited to the hit when Wilson stuttered.

What if he gives up on the hit assuming Wilson will slide and Wilson stays up and gets past him.

Exactly this. The QB should not have that option. Either you commit to giving yourself up and do it early or if you get leveled, then that is on you.

Also, on this type of play head contact is more likely. The defender will line up the QBs chest/ body since that is the only place you can hit this guys now but then the QBs head level drops with a last second slide. There will of course be a big chance for contact to the head.
Well at least Nick can feel good because he played against prevent D. But lets be real, he's just a backup. Defenses will gameplan around his noodle arm.
Garbage time stats are great. Can't wait for people to jump right back on the Mullens bandwagon.

That being said, we need to IR Jimmy G until his ankle is 100%. He has not looked good most of this season. His throws are sailing high because he can't plant hard.
Aiyuk with quick seperation
