Yeah. People are overreacting which I expect. This team, if completely healthy, is still a top 5 team. The QB situation is murky but that's not a reason to blow a team up. Just gotta be careful and smart.

If they trade/release AA, Ward, Richburg, Ford and Jimmy G within one year, then this team would be making some good moves.

I think we roll with Garoppolo, Ward, Ford and Richburg 1 more year. If smart they will draft a QB to let sit and a couple IOL and DBs

So many folks here overreacting like a chick on her period
relax this year got f**ked because the injuries. This team is still way too talented when healthy, it's the qb situation that is starting to get cloudy.

They need to tank this thing and draft one of the top QBs. Top 10 pick

yes lets cut the dead weight.. this season is over the way i see it.. Nick Mullins will have an audition till the end of the season.. lets move on from Richburg, Dee Ford, Whiterspoon, Pettis and maybe even Jimmy Ward.. clear cap room so we can make some noise next offseason. I think we need to re-sign Trent Williams who is over 30 and I possibly cound get him for a good price.
The guys who have value and should be traded are:
Trent Williams: a playoff team needing OL help should fork over a 3rd or 4th rounder for Williams; odds the Niners sign him to a LT deal worth $17-20M are slim given their cap situation; may as well recoup their pick.
Jimmie Ward + Jacquiski Tartt: Ward and Tartt are very similar players; solid but far from spectacular. Ward especially is not worth the ~$10M a year he gets paid, but I suspect some team may be willing to give up a 3rd or 4th rounder for him. Tartt is well-regarded but is a FA next year. I suspect a 5th rounder is gettable for him.
Robbie Gould: There's no reason a non-playoff team should be paying a kicker $5M per. Gould is arguably the most consistent K in the NFL and some playoff team with a bad kicking situation should be willing to upgrade.
Jordan Reed: not sure what a TE who's one hit away from his career being over can net, but we saw glimpses that Reed is still talented and can be a weapon.
Other guys we should dump for scraps include:
WR Dante Pettis (but now he's injured so he can't even be traded), CB Akhello Witherspoon (bummer, I always hoped he'd make it).
I'm not including Dee Ford on any lists who should obviously be traded but can't because he's injured. (I should point out I called the Niners should have targeted Shaquil Barrett in FA in 2018 instead of overpaying for Ford; Andy Reid absolutely played John Lynch here).

Completely agree. We've got SO much talent sitting on IR. 2020 is just a s**t year.
Even the QB situation.... 2020 could be a blessing. Jimmy G. clearly hasn't shown that he's worth $25M next season. If we can't find an upgrade, I'd say restructure him. Save some cash to get some FA help in other areas (OL, CB, DE).
Then we get Bosa back, which will make AA better. Kinlaw and Aiyuk develop. Kittle and Mostert back. Fred Warner.... Such a talented team.

Nothing wrong was said here, absolutely no need to blow up the roster. This year just sucks plain and simple

Why are people trying to offload Trent Williams so easily? If we move on from Jimmy in the off-season and we get a rookie QB, wouldn't we want a competent LT covering his blindside. Assuming of course we resign Trent.

IT wont matter if we land any of the QBs, we have the wrong guy coaching this team..
I good coach wants to win it all FIRST than trying to be the team's MVP !!!

This team with all of these injuries will still win 8 games

Moving Ward should be next. Roll with Moore from now on. Moore needs to see more playing time, more experience.
