The only one who may be worth a look is AJ McCarron. He had a very similar career to Jimmy, came in the same year 2014 .


I'd take Prescott over Jimmy. Character guy, was having a monster statistical season for Dallas because he had to win games by himself, not Kyler Murray but has enough presence and running ability to take off and get yards with his legs. Most likely too expensive though.

I never knew Cousins would be a Niner. If Cousins was the plan, Jimmy could have had Cousins.

Draft his replacement and specifically for Jimmy G use the lower projected cap number to try and leverage him into taking less salary in 2021-2022.

And so they should. They should never stop investing in scouting for the next Steve Young, Montana, Mahomes ever. Mullens and CJ are almost done with the Niners as they are never going to be much more then what they are now. Jimmy may improve and may not but a with a young gun coming up behind him it will certainly give him the motivation to lift his game to as high as it can go and if it is better he stays if not he is replaced.
