Draft a young QB and get him ready is my feeling.
At this point, he is no better than the 3rd best QB in the division. I say 3rd because Goff is inconsistent and probably on par with Jimmy. Murrey may not be as good overall yet but he has a much higher ceiling. He's got a strong accurate arm and his running is really scary. I was concerned about his durability but so far he's been healthier than Jimmy. And of course there's Wilson.

I wouldn't expect a rookie to run the entire playbook but if it's a talented guy with a big arm and some mobility, he could still make some plays.
Agreed. There's really no reason why a rookie QB can't come in, start right away and have success. Also, the cap savings by having a good QB on a rookie deal would be a tremendous relief for next year. Zach Wilson come on down to the bay.

Rookie RG3 killed it in his first year under Kyle.

49ers fans thought they were getting a poor man's Tom Brady, instead they got a better version of Sam Bradford.

Restructure to pay him a minimum or trade him away. Use him as a bridge QB, and draft a rookie for the future.
Still have to extend Trent Williams, Fred Warner, Kwaun Williams, Juice and others. Wouldn't be surprised if they try to keep Verrett as well if he keeps playing so well. But nothing of that'll be possible with Jimmy eating 25M.

OMG you literally say the same s**t over and over get over it he drafted Beathard at the end of the 3rd rd.4 yrs ago.
They also drafted streets on day 3 then took Bosa...they drafted Pettis then took Aiyuk. Drafted Foster one yr then drafted Warner.

Given there'd only be a $2.8M (2021) dead cap hit, it makes sound sense to move Jimmy. First order of the day is to get him 100% healthy. The potential return will be much greater if he's GTG. I can see him going back to NE...BB has more faith in him than he does any other QB on his roster There are other possible suitors, though. Indy comes to mind. We don't know how long they'll stick w/Rivers. He's not their future. Bears are another team without a franchise QB. If Ford can't get/stay healthy, he's another player to move away from. His 2021 cap hit is close to $21M. Richburg's hit is $11.5M. Collectively, that's @ $55M in cap sav ings. You can get a young QB lots of weapons and get the defense a top pass rusher to bookend Bosa.

It's not feasible and it would be wreckless on the 49ers part. I just don't have any faith that the brass would go all in on a top prospect nor that the team would land a top 5 pick to get one. I have no doubt with Trent Williams being re-signed and an upgrade at center, the pieces are there to thrive. We get Bosa back, but need another edge, and the secondary is up for FA too.
Why wouldn't they? Because they had Jimmy fall into their laps a yr after they took over? Move up for a QB if you have too. That extra cap space with Jimmy moved gives you the resources to resign starters and pickup good vets to put around the rookie.
All the stuff you're talking about in the last paragraph will require cash. Jimmy simply isn't good enough to make this team a playoff team on his own.

I'd also consider Jimmie Ward, as I don't see him being much better than Moore.
