I do think we should fight as hard as we can to make the playoffs, but can we just be honest for a second here...

Suppose we get the #7 seed (I sure as heck can't see us catching Tampa to get the #6 seed).

Who here sees us beating Green Bay at Lambeau or the Saints in New Orleans (90% chance one of them is the 2 seed and the other is the 1 seed, and we'd therefore have to get through both just to get to the NFC Championship)? I sure as heck don't. We already got destroyed by both. I get that we weren't at full strength but it's not like we'll be getting Ford or Bosa back, and both were critical to being the Saints'/Packers' kryptonite last season.

I get it. We should still fight to make the playoffs and upsets happen. But I can't see us doing much damage if we get there...

Hell yes. Let's run the table. We get jimmy and Kittle back for the last two games. If we stay healthy we could be the most dangerous team in the playoffs.

Beating the rams for a 5th time in a row on our way to the championship would be extra sweet!

Yeah, Mullens needs to play well - until we get Jimmy and Kittle back.

I mean would you care to explain your perspective? The #7 seed has to play both the #2 seed and #1 seed to get to the NFC Championship no matter what and both are going to be horrible matchups. I hope I'm wrong but it's going to take a 2011 Giants-type explosion for us to win the Super Bowl. Even then, the 2011 Giants at least had their two best pass rushers healthy (which is critical for a playoff run, as we learned last season).

I'd feel soooo much better about our chances if we knew at least one of Bosa or Ford was coming back, but it's been guaranteed we're not getting either one this season.

It's just so stupid. They easily could have beaten the saints but not for the refs and some stupid mistakes. We fielded a college team against the packers as well. Just so stupid to give up.

With jimmy g and Kittle we could easily beat any NFC team especially since there's none to little home field advantage. Unless we get a s**tload more injuries. Judging by the way the rest of these teams are playing and us being able to destroy gb at close to full strength I'm not worried at all

If the running game is working - I like our chances on offense with Deebo and Aiyuk on play action.
basically we control our destiny rn.
The only team that scares me if the Niners are at full strength (minus Bosa) is KC in the SB.

And the Niners offense is better with Aiyuk and Reed. I think the Niners can take it.

*This is with healthy Jimmy G and Kittle.

**Yes, I am a huge homer and will always think the Niners are the best and I don't care if it is not totally in reality lol.
If we win this game we make the playoffs. Two very winnable games following the Bills leaving us 8-6 heading into the last two weeks with a 4 game win streak and a ton of confidence. Also the Hawks and Cards are looking less and less threatening every week.
If they can beat the Bills I think they got a good chance. If not it is a tough road. True fans want the 49ers to win.

The non season ending injuries may actually be a positive. Getting rested players back in time to make a run. The offensive line needs to ball out if anything good is going to happen, because the QBs need help .

The momentum of beating the Rams could go away with a bad game against the Bills.
I mean at this point, the remaining games all matter. We pretty much have to win out to even have a chance.

But beating Arizona and Seattle in the final matchups are going to be the make or break.
