So, the Niners wasted season has mercifully come to an end... I don't ever want to see Nick Mullens and his stupid hick face in a 49ers uniform again... Play Bethard the rest of the way and draft a QB and an offensive line...

And while I am at it... Would SOMEBODY please get McGlinchey a damned meal. Dude gets blown up on every single play! He needs to beef up. He's playing O-Line with a Tight End build.

Kendrick Bourne... You gotta go. You do that damned happy dance on the odd occasion that you actually catch the ball (provided you are in open space and the ball hits you square in the numbers... and even then it's a toss up). But you celebration dance happens so infrequently that nobody knows your signature moves.

Richie James... It's ok to actually RETURN the ball from time to time on special teams... at least twice today you could have turned a battleship around in the space you had.

As for the D...

I'll pay for the damned flight myself to get Saleh off to Detroit. Last year proved he can be good... so long as his defense is absolutely stacked. This guy was below average before last year and this year he has reverted to form.

Arik Armstead... you get a pass for this year... JUST. And that's only really because you've had to take over the EDGE duties and that clearly isn't your bag. Next year however...

Uncle Sherm... Please stay. Find a way to make it happen.

And as for Shanahan... Like Armstead.. you get a pass this year, but your ass better be on a real short leash next season and every chair you sit in better be warm!

I feel your passion UK niner fan, the game was there for the taking. Niners need to get healthy and let's see 2021.
Also go Arsenal ! Talk about hard to watch teams this year yikes.
I will say, there's just a comfort in knowing Sherm's out there. Gonna feel his loss IMO.

This would be 2022 and 2023 3rd round picks correct

Is this serious ?

I don't know why you're complaining about Saleh. The defense did not give up a single touchdown...

And Arik Armstead played the entire game inside today. He didn't take a single snap outside at edge.

Under 200 yards of offense and only 9 points surrendered and apparently it's not good enough by Webzone standards.

We should probably drop the bar down for our next DC or he will never live up to these standards.

Only the 46 defense or 2000 Ravens would appease the web one. Id argue this year is Saleh 's best job to date.

Yeah, I think Saleh's coaching actually got better this year than last year.

But peeps gotta look at the lack of sacks, PPG, etc. and act like he sucks.

Personnel wise accounted for, this is the best defense in the NFL, IMO.

Thanks and we could definitely use the picks if Saleh is signed as a HC

Ok I can dig it.
We're all disappointed over this season but let's stop and consider a few things.

1. Injuries. Every team has them but this team led the league. Not only the number but when it's your starting QB, your best offensive weapon (Kittle) and Deebo in and out all year it has to affect the performance. Defense was very good this yeat despite losing Bosa, Thomas, and Sherman within the first 2 games.

2. The entire season was screwed up because of the virus and now they can't even practice or play in their home stadium.

3. SB hangover. Historically, it's really tough for a losing team to get back to the SB the next year. Two teams did in the 70's but no other team has done it except NE and they had won it the year before and came back and won the next year.

4. I may get a lot of disagreement on this one. The Niners weren't expected to go to the SB last year. Most people had them going 8-8 or 9-7. They were considered to be a team on the rise but not quite there yet. They got off to a great start as they benefitted from a rather weak early schedule and rode it all the way. It's not unusual to see teams that aren't really quite there yet have a great year only to fall back to earth the next year.

We all know where the holes are on this team. O line and DBs need an upgrade or at least some depth. Now QB looks like it could be another problem area. Another good edge rusher could be needed with Ford's future in doubt and Bosa coming off a knee injury. The truth is, maybe this team just isn't good enough. They certainly aren't right now with the injuries and now they're faced with cap problems and re-signing some free agents. It's hard to get to the SB with issues at QB and the O line. Now they face the possibility of losing Saleh.
Shoot I thought this season was over a few weeks ago

Holes are one thing, but we should not be losing to average teams.

And yet the Skins beat the Steelers last week, The Seahawks couldn't beat the Giants, The Bengals beat the Titans...

Any. Given. Sunday.

Why shouldn't we? It's not just that we're decimated by injuries it's STAR players who've missed significant time or the whole season. Find another team that's missing 4-5 key players on both sides of the ball that's in playoff contention

This isn't the same team as last year not even remotely close. Jimmy looked worse than Nick. Buckner, Sanders, Breida, Bosa, a healthy Sherm, lol even if healthy next year it's just an average roster with below average receivers

Fiddling around with ESPN's playoff machine - if we win out (:P) there's a good chance we can make the playoffs. Teams are all over the place from week to week. No guaranteed wins for anyone.

Maybe we should start Beathard, and he could turn into Nick Foles or something
