This Aaron Banks pick better be worth it, I rather draft a corner with that pick.
Remarkable: New 49ers guard Aaron Banks played 2020 heavy at about 330 lbs. But I've heard from the Notre Dame staff that he still consistently led their linemen in the running portion of conditioning work.

Banks can really move. SF believes they've landed an athletic freak

Don't be surprised if he's not starting week 1. McKivivtz and Brunskill can hold it down for the start of the year.
God I hope not!
ya but even if his technique an skill isnt there yet he will be an improvement over mckivitz an brunskill. his massive size is needed to just plug a hole there at RG. last season brunskill was a f**king dandelion there an people ran right over him. (except donald for some reason, i know) this guy can at least stand in the way an at minimum slow the pass rusher down. plus pass pro was so poor last year that it wont take much to see an improvement.
I'm not sure fans can lump Brunskill, McKivitz and Skule in with a high 2nd round pick on talent alone but they do.

they were all terrible last year in pass pro is my point. which i know we agree on. im sayin this guys size alone could make him an improvement over them. add in the fact if mcglinch puts some weight back on an solidifies RT we could be looking at a huge imporovement on the right side in pass pro. RG an center was a revolving door for us last season. how many guys did we have start at center? 4?

That's saying something...as a team, didn't they run a ton too?
He looked like he had lost some lbs too since the end of the season. I would imagine we want him around 315.

He's almost 6-6 though...I wouldn't want him losing much more weight.

You do, and we did. 5th year is also now fully guaranteed I think. Not just for injury.
