Yeah I saw that it was his crush. good depth and hopefully he develops. I think our top 4 picks will make the team. Not sure about anyone drafted today.

I'd be surprised if Jaylon Moore didn't make it, but the rest are probably bubble types.
Apparently this was a Adam Peters pick.

I like this pick a lot. Yeah, read about Peters championing him so this is awesome.

Kinda weird of Lynch to say that Peters wanted this guy. I'd prefer they wait until Thomas pans out, then say "this was Peters' pick". Now, if Thomas doesn't play well, it puts Peters in a bad light.

Why shield Peters? I think acknowledging his contributions is more valuable. It lets him and other execs (in and out of the organization) know that their input is valuable. Plus, if the pick doesn't work out 99% of people will blame Lynch and Shanahan regardless.

True story.

Plus he's a late 3rd round pick. People need to have proper expectations.

I don't know why they should shield him. I was asking why pin the pick on Peters? Just wait for Thomas to be a solid pick, then you can always give Peters credit when that happens. Anyway, yeah, all picks are made by Lynch/Kyle so in the end it's on those two.

I think Moore, Lenior, & Hufanga make the team, I also see Mitchell making it, I think all 8 picks are on the 53, you have to go with the upside of these 4 players over guys like Skule, Coleman, Compton on the OL who haven't shown much, Lenior being so close to Sherman is great, he'll be the 5th CB IMO, Hufanga, he's making it, he could take over for Tartt in 2022. Like how I can see Moore taking over for either Laken or Banks will with Moore at RG, or even McKivitz, the fact is guys like Brunskill, McKivitz, and Moore can play all over the line makes this decision easier.

Agreed. When I say bubble, I guess I'm just saying it's hard to call them locks. Hopefully they'll all be easy decisions to carry on the 53 man but if the decisions are remotely close I assume they'll go with the rookie.
HA I like this dude even more

I think Lynch pinned the pick on Peters out of confidence. They had let known they value Peters input on later round picks, I think ever since he got here, and it generally panned out. So I don't see it in Lynch's personality to do it for any reason other than trying to give credit to the guy that did most of the research work on the pick.
