Lenoir looked much better. Still early though
Does not look back at the ball and is grabby. This is a concern on this level.

Looked like a rookie. he does like toe grab a lot when he's beat. gonna have to clean that up

If I am not mistaken...

I THINK the NFL has made it a point to officials to allow DB contact if it is initiated by the offensive player.

Hence that OPI that was called.

I saw similar non calls in other preseason games, notably the Broncos/Giants

Thomas didn't play football last year. He's going to take some time.

He would fit in the Seahawks secondary perfectly

it's his first game, I'm sure he only using half of his skills at the moment.. the more comfy he gets the more gamble he can take..
His playing the ball skills suck. He seems to be in phase with the wr. Turns his hips and runs with him. But as soon as the ball gets near him or the wr he loses focus. On the PI there was no need to grab the wr at all. He had good coverage
So far, basically all I see is a tougher version of Witherspoon that is even more unnecessarily grabby. Lenoir is clearly ahead, if I'm the DC.

There was also no need to call the PI.
Want to see more of the kid no doubt
RAW but we knew this. He needs to redshirt this year. If he plays, we're in trouble

Lenoir is not just ahead, he's several laps ahead. If I'm the opposing OC and Thomas in the game I target him on every play.
Thomas is there, just has to work on finishing without drawing the flag. He's not taking a starting job any time soon but I can easily see him working out for us long term. Seen way too many corners break out 2nd/3rd year after showing little to get excited about early to worry about this kid now.
