Ambry Thomas should not be redshirted, that will be 2 full years of not playing football an will essentially make him Jaylen Hurd who so many want to cut. He also had major surgery leading up 2019 season in which he was in hospital for awhile. He's got to play football week in an week out or it's a wasted pick

Bro who wants him redshirted?

Hurd was "redshirted" due to injury and many people are fustrated he never sees the field which is why people want him cut

Thomas is rusty because he hasnt played football in over a year and CB is one of the hardest positions in NFL i think it has one of the highest bust rates. Thomas didnt look awful he isn't getting beat like a drum and he is in the right position he just has to fix his technique a bit

Yea they tripping. he needs the playing time. He should play most of the last pre season game.

this clip that everyone was excited about and I was thinking "what's that footwork" "why does it look like he knew a slant was coming and still let BA cross his face"

Playing time in the pre season but not the regular season. He is nowhere near ready to be playing live NFL football. Shoot, he struggled badly in the pre season. I still have hope with him, but he's not NFL ready this year.
i saw the first half of the raiders game again and he looked pretty solid out there

You mean outside of the awful no look tackle attempt? Hopefully he learned a good lesson from that because I'm sure the coaches had it on a loop as a "what not to do" teaching point.

He seems Witherspoon-ish. He's usually in good position but he's not going to make any great plays against good players.

Most of the guys who missed last season have had some serious rust. That goes for Ambry, Trey and even guys considered slam dunk studs like Penei Sewell.

That doesn't go for everyone but still something people should realize is happening and have patience.

I tend to agree that's he's been beaten quite a bit and looked lost at times. The only reason he is/will be better than Witherspoon imo is his college play/tape. He consistently turned and looked for the ball in phase. That is something he really hasn't shown in the preseason but at least that's part of the way he plays. Unlike Witherspoon that joke of a player. 2-3 good games a year and playing horribly the rest of the time will be a thing of the past let's hope.

Now our wrs will burn his ass beyond belief and he will be a major reason Seattle's D will get touched this year

It used to really irritate me when the qb overthrew the wr by 10 yards and Spoon would celebrate as if he made pbu
