Playoffs? PLAYOFFS?

I got a good feeling. Sending out those positive vibes haha

I love it Faithful! Keep it up.

Those positive vibes paid off. I called it that he was going to get his first interception but oh man, didnt expect it to be the game sealer.

This kid has been impressive! That TD he gave up to Higbee was tough but clearly outmatched with size. Rams drew up that play well to get a CB on Higbee. But he sticks like glue. Im confident going into 2022 with Eman and Thomas as our two starters, along with a mid-tier FA and late round pick.
Just me or does that INT seem like it will be a catapult for this kid?

He needed a interception to gain that confidence. This kid is ready for the playoffs!

What a fitting moment. He nearly had 2 vs Cincinnati. He nearly had the pick 6 was it vs Houston I think? To actually get his first career INT a walk off game winner to end the season and clinch the playoffs

What. A. Moment.

And notice it was on OBJ. Adding via the draft > adding via free agent stars that were other teams disappointments.

I get the feeling someone is going to try to raid Adam Peters this offseason.
The confidence he gained from this game will just help him get a lot better from here on. He seemed to be an outstanding individual who has great character- good hearted, hardworking and humble. He will be a solid 'fortyniner' for a long time.

Adam Peters is the MVP of the FO, he is the scout. But John Lynch is a former player who understand players and empathize with them. I'd even swap Lynch and Peters jobs to keep Peters around. If Peters leave this team is screwed.

Reminds me of the Interception Bowman made against the falcons In the playoffs. The pick I, and now this could be referred to as "the Pick II"

If Peters leave you best believe we will get a good one to take his place. Peters deserves his shot on his own and if not in San Francisco then somewhere else.

HONESTLY... I'm glad he made the INT..

But he was actually TOASTED had Staff thrown the ball any further...

When the ball was in the air, I was already looking where the FS was at!!

This is true. He made a nice play on it but if Stafford puts that pass on the money, OBJ is scoring a TD.

It was a great play by Thomas on a poor pass by Stafford and it was largely a poor pass due to the pressure coming from Bosa on the outside as well as up the middle and Stafford not being able to fully step into the throw. So say thank you to the DL.

Ya'll should go back and rewatch that play. Ambry is right on his hip, turns his head to play the ball, then slows down when he sees it's underthrown and secures the interception. If that ball had been put out in front of OBJ Ambry would have still been in position.
I agree with Keg. Thomas was right there until he reacted to the throw, something the receiver did not. A perfect throw had 1% chance of completion.

BOTTOM LINE... he made a game winning INT !!

AT phoneeee homeeee !!!

He needed this INT, it should add some MOJO back to himself as he faces those talented pass catchers from Jerry World..

GO NINERSSSS !!!

I agree. To a certain extent a scouts job is just to get the information for the decision-makers to evaluate. Its an important job, but not an irreplacable job. Its the decision to pick the player is the one most valuable. The story about Bill Walsh spotting steve young from way across the stadium (as told by Tony Razzano) i think is what im talking about. Walsh decided to go after steve after that brief glance.

Whats hard to replace would be the relationships with the various schools that Adam Peters has developed in doing his job.

I don't think it was STEVE YOUNG..

If not mistaken, was it not Tony Razzano who swore to his grave that Bill Walsh wanted to draft Steve Dills of Stanford and it was Tony who told him about taking Joe Montana instead ?

Wow bro I was one of those people and even admitted to being wrong but this^^^^^ C'mon man you act like you never been wrong before.

It's not about being wrong. It's about the constant bust labeling our fans do every season way too early. It's foolish.
Again in this gamae youre going to have to take some lumps. He did a good job last game i think he got beat only on one play when he was in zone coverage but cooper/CeeDee is better than OBJ

Most likely Peters gets promoted to GM, and Lynch to POFO.
