Hope he's right!

lol I just hope he stops getting burned, giving up TD's and causing pass interference.

He had that the whole way.

Just shows that some dont know what they are looking at (much like how people were crapping on him from the start, but thats a different topic). Ambry had him the entire time.

Yea, I can't believe people thought Ambry was beat when all they had to go off of was the TV angle.

If that ball is out in front, our season is done. Look at Thomas bite at the 50 yard line and stutter step on OBJ's little fake move inside then take off over the top.

Thomas needs to get on OBJ's body and force OBJ to the sideline more and not give him all that green. No way Thomas catches up to OBJ if Stafford threw it deeper. He got lucky Bosa forced a poor throw.

Thomas runs a 4.3 he's just as fast as OBJ.

If out in front Thomas would have been there to make a play on the ball - OBJ may or may not have caught it but he wasn't going to the house.

Maybe "blew by him" was an exaggeration. My fault.

Lets say OBJ got the separation he needed.

He had absolutely no separation. Thomas played this perfectly start to finish. What are you watching???

I'm watching a guy who got lucky Stafford underthrew that pass. OBJ was going to score if that was on target. He bit on the fake at the 50 and OBJ had a step. Its not much but in the NFL that's open.

Ah so, someone else noticed that. OTOH, he was step for step with OBJ but he was the one who first noted the ball was short and eased off, making the perfect INT. It is funny how he has progressed.

Initially, Ambry was lost.
Next, he got in-phase with some of the WRs.

Next on jump ball, the WR had longer arms.

Next, on jump ball, Wr jumped higher.

Then finally…the Rams and OBJ…it was a thing of beauty to watch the butterfly emerge from the ugly chrysalis.

Still and all, he must stay "in phase" as Thl puts it, to be the guy we need him to be. It would have been really interesting just how that contest for the ball would have been had the ball been on the money. I guess we'll wait til next time.

Bottom line? Helluva INT and fantastic play.

TBF, Ward was the anti-superstar that game so I could understand his perspective. Haha
Ambry didn't bite on anything. He was tracking the ball the whole way.

Lol the person who said Thomas was beat is so wrong. He ran step with step with OBJ until he looked up tracked the ball and slowed down because the ball was under thrown. The big part is that he located the ball and if he didn't he would've kept running bumping into OBJ when he has to come back to the under thrown ball. Well played by Thomas, dude always seems to be in position but he finally tracked the ball. Massive improvement weekly
Can of whoop ass...opened
OK, it's now Tuesday... let's slow it down on this TOPIC...

Slow down on hyping up this kid before his head swells..

The last time our young CB made a winning INT against the Rams was Rashard " The Thief of Laptops " Robinson... then everyone here made him the NEXT great cover corner ... next thing you know, the guy walked around the pre-season like he's stablished.. even tried to be Toast Witherspoon's big BURNT brother..

the kid believed in the hype so much that he thought he can cover any WRs in the league after 1 season..
He's got potential. But I hope our FO isn't fooled. CB is still this team's #1 position to address this offseason. Someone who's as good as Varrett but actually plays could help Thomas' development significantly.

This x 1000

A great CB in FA or through a trade is our #1 priority by far. We better not screw this up, even if Thomas looks great and Moseley looks good. One of both could get injured and miss some time yet again. Like every year.

Let's not forget we have to go against great qbs and even greater wrs

Yeah because a few dudes on a random fan forum stroking to the rookie's play are going to inflate his ego.

He always tracks the ball. Almost caught that one against Pitts too. But big guys take it away from him.
