Almost $2M in savings moving off both those dudes...I'd rather throw that cash at a DE/CB or a different WR.

Tbh I thought one of the last two pick was gonna be a slot/deep-threat WR, but . Must have a lot of faith in James someone who they underutilized all these years trying to keep that Pettis dream alive.
I see these 5 WR's making our 53 Samuel-Aiyuk-James-Hurd-Sherfield, if Watkins shows he is good in practices and pre season, and we fear he might get plucked if we try to sneak him onto the PS, then I would keep him on the 53 and try to skimp else where. I don't see the need for Benjamin, some point out he can do PR/KR, but we already have James who can do that (not ideal) but A. Thomas+ E. Mitchell (draft picks) both can do the same thing as well, and both figure to be reserves.

Benjamin and Sanu to me are PS types at this point, and only belong on our 53, if one of the above WR's go down.

Sanu is so damn washed I don't even know why he was brought back unless it's mentoring thru TC. Benjamin I'm intrigued by due to his familiarity in Kyles system and speed.

That money can go to Warner on a new extension, I also think it'd be crazy to keep Sanu or Benjamin over Watkins. That's if Watkins doesn't look like crap in preseason.

Benjamin has an extensive injury history. I'm still confused how Sanu washed up but Hurd who hasn't played one NFL snap and a handful of off season practices is a definitely making the 53. I'm struggling to see how that works. Sanu seems more a lock for me than either Benjamin and Hurd at this point no?

I love what this Watkins kid brings.

don't be confused my friend, it's the typical KS and Welker combo of choices...

He doesn't seem that good. Just a possession receiver at a small school. Probably won't translate, he doesn't have 1 elite trait

He's an UDFA.

I would say one very good trait is hands and ball skills.

Also he showed he can play at the Senior Bowl so the small school stuff isn't that big of a deal imo

I hope he can be our wr3/4. Better hands and faster than Bourne so he has a chance. Especially if Hurd is not fully healthy yet. Great at contested catches so if Jimmy G throws deep and it's behind him (like he does quite a bit) he will go get it.

Yup that too...there's a bunch of smaller end cuts that add up to some real cash if they want to get Warner and or a cheaper vet.

S Coleman, Tavon Wilson, benji, Compton, gallaman, Webster, cracraft, Sanu etc. that's like $7M right there.

You think they're going to keep a guy in the end of his career over Hurd who was a 3rd rd pick even tho he's had injuries but many act as if his leg is amputated Sanu couldn't even stick with the pats when they traded a 2nd and then he didn't even stick the full year here
