Matt Pryor is garbage... dude was letting defenders run right by him with him not noticing.

Hopefully if some surprise tackle gets cut from some other team, we cut Pryor for them.

trying to sneak an injured DJ Reed thru waivers was a mistake.

Yes that one. Anything else you can remembered?

We talked about this earlier in the off season, reed was the only one we could think of and that wasn't really a major deal.

this team has done an excellent job at keeping the right talent.

One interesting case was McKivitz. He didn't make the 53 in his second season, but nobody picked him up. He joined our PS and eventually made the team later in the season.

That's good development. It's all about timing sometimes. He was a fifth round pick, right?

i never thought I'd miss brunskill. Hahah
I was hoping they'd cut Brandon Allen too but I guess with the new rule that the 3rd QB can be active in gameday without counting towards the 46 makes carrying three make sense.

Pryor did improve over the course of the preseason, I read he really worked himself into shape, but yeah. I'm not excited about him at all. I'll very concerned if he's on the field.

he was a weird signing. Doesn't really fit what we do and he isn't versatile.

Yeah, I was too. Lol we are screwed if he's playing anyways. So what's the difference between having a guy on the practice squad all year that is playing at that point or Brandon allen?

just a waste of a roster spot in my opinion. It's a bigger concern later in the season than it is at the end. Not a big deal if we run out of QBs in the first half of the season vs if we do in the playoffs.
All those good extra kickers got snapped up, right? Folk, Lutz, Hopkins gone...I wanted Hopkins.

I always liked Brunskill as an OT more than C/G.

We kept moody on the 53, so either we IR him if he won't be ready for week one and roll with one of the guys we tried out for a month. Or he will be ready week 1.

i feel like he will be ready week 1
The only moves I'm mad about are Ilm Manning & D'Shawn Jamison getting cut, I told everyone Zakelj would make it, he did, they really like him a lot.

every 2023 draft pick survived getting cut

Yeah, even the QB picked in the 7th round last year made the team.

Not bad for a 7th rounder coming off a major injury! Hopefully he gets a chance this year!

Yeah! That will show those Jimmy fans that Jimmy is no better than a QB picked in last years 7th round pick selection!

He must do some great things at practice....hard to figure.

Or we sign another K to the practice squad and activate him for the Steelers game only while Moody is made inactive.

Allen is a nice guy to have. He was a QB2 last season. Insurance, and we are taking advantage of our own rule, the Brock Purdy rule. So he will uniform each week, if not be truly active.

I think this is more likely if they think Moody only misses a game or two.
