SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS at ARIZONA CARDINALS - 2021 Game 5

My god if every team is gonna "flop" non-stop with holding, then SF better do the same. That's something the coaches need to preach. Same s**t with throwing downfield & getting PIs, you're either gonna adapt with the BS rules or you're getting get taken to the cleaners by them

The PI call on deep passes where the ball is under thrown and the receiver comes back for it is becoming an art form. I hate the call. The defender is taught to watch the receiver and his hands and eyes. Then turn at the last moment or try and get your hands in there at the right time to knock the ball away. When the receiver suddenly stops or comes back into the defender they throw the flag. The defender is defenseless.

score more than 10 points?

Grant Cohn is a moron.
On the bright side, the defense held the high scoring Cards to about half their scoring average. They barely broke 300 yards total offense. This one week after holding Seattle to 235 yrds. Defense is doing it's job other than not getting turnovers. (we finally got a fumble recovery yesterday) The offense just needs to learn how to cash in and finish drives. We had this problem a few years ago when we couldn't score TDs. Too many long drives ending in FGs or no points.

Jimmy sucks balls. Go some where else for minus LOS plays. I'm sure after Treys look today Kyle agrees.

playtime will make him awesome.

Okay I'll bite. Play Trey Lance, but I wouldn't put all my hopes and dreams into him taking the 9ers to the playoffs this season. Especially if Shanahan is gonna keep calling games like yesterday. And I guess Shanahan agrees......not that he's right.

"Trey Lance is not, from what I understand, expected to hold on to the job regardless of what happens today," Rapoport said. "If Jimmy Garoppolo is healthy next week, it is going to be his job. That is something that Kyle Shanahan has been consistent about. Trey Lance cannot win the job today."

If they thought they could get value for Jimmy and trade him to a place he agreed on then they would probably do it. That was what I was hoping for this year. Jimmy has a good season and stays healthy so we could trade him in the 2nd half of the season or in the off season and get a decent draft pick (2 or 2 + 5) Now that isn't looking so good as Jimmy gets hurt again. At least it isn't a serious season ending injury. If that happened I doubt they would et anything other than a 6th or 7th.

I was hoping the 9ers would've traded for Aaron Rodgers. I got my hopes up higher than heaven when I heard Ian Rapoport say the 9ers called inquiring about Rodgers before the draft. And no doubt Jimmy would've been traded. Now with all the picks gone and with a rookie QB at the helm I feel like the 9ers are in rebuild mode again. Sure Lance could turn into Mahomes and start firing off, but WHAT IF he doesn't?? Lemme guess there's always next year!!!! smfh

F-U Refs!!!!

Watch the video of that Rondale Moore sideline catch.

Al Shaiir got tripped by their left guard with a free run at Murray. Would have been a sack.

yea, still no clue how that was not a safety on the play that was flagged for a hold in the endzone.

makes no sense.
I don't know why alot of people are complaining. Pre-game I saw alot of posts from people expecting us to get blown out. We were in the game right to the very end. We put up a much better fight vs them than the Rams did the previous week.

I feel like those tip toe sideline catches happen to us more than any other team

They'll see that and think they should have called holding on Armstead for grabbing Murray like that.
