Straight objects for yall. But u beg for autographs or photos if you come across them.

Exactly, they put their life/health on the line for a game, yes many make millions, but some only make the league minimum, plus the fact that they don't bring home every bit of that money, they pay taxes for where they live, play, plus 401K, and other stuff.

Yeah, I think "dump" is too harsh in most cases. "Time to move on" is less derogatory towards players who you think you have a chance to replace with a better, yet affordable, player.

Cannon is the most natural and fluid returner we have had in years. I'm definitely keeping him and his cheap contact

Mack has been a stud this yr...he's a major reason our PP has improved so much, he plays a big part in protection calls. He's literally having his best year since 2016.

Gould can go, he's got no GTD cash left and you can use that extra $5.5M on something else.

Looking at the cap situation, they should be able to keep Laken, DJ, K'Waun, & Arden, just need to backload the deals, as well as extend the likes of Deebo, Bosa, & Dre. But they won't/can't keep everyone, hopefully they can get Sherfield, Compton, Moore, Tartt back on 1yr minimum deals. They can also clear up cap room by extending Ward. As for Ebukam, what I'd do is get him to take a pay cut, with him being able to make it up through incentives, or a short term extension. I also wouldn't mind them extending Moseley.

Think it's time to move on from K'Waun they need a young slot DB that can cover better. Maybe that'd Demo but who knows.

Laken is a must resign. I think Key will get more money elsewhere, would like to toss him an offer though. Dre needs a new deal, but it sucks having a ton of cash tied up in LBer. I might let him play out next yr (he might want that too) after missing most of the year. Sherfield meh, he hasn't done much as a WR or on ST IMO.

Like Tartt, but I think it's time to get younger there as well...draft a S. Compton will get resigned, Moore who knows (kinda forgot about him).

Can they restructure AA? I know he's got that 6th yr in his contract maybe up for lower cap charges.
I am looking forward to revising my list later. It definitely has changed.

Agreed about Mack but would like to see his replacement on the roster and developing. Don't think I agree about Gould. Despite the age factor his kicks have been money in the bank of late. I think at least two large cap figures will be coming off the books this year and I don't see $5.5m as a problem. The college games I have watched this year have featured quite a few excellent punters but a whole bundle of rubbish place-kickers. It may not be that easy to replace him.

Agree on your basic point that the 49ers need to get younger. With the 49ers regularly hitting on some day 3 gems, I think getting some younger players in day three is quite doable. I think you bolster the Edge, Left Tackle, and QB positions (I"m assuming Jimmy will be gone next year) so draft edge, tackle/center and a good free agent QB to backup trey. Keep Arden (if possible) and extend or write new contract for some of the other talented DLinemen that is on the roster now, that are willing to stay. But yeah, I think any time you get into the playoffs, bottom feeding teams will raid your talent both in the front office and on the grid iron. A lot of the veterans playing currently will be on other teams next year.
I agree they need to get a C to understudy Mack...he may've lost some of his power, etc. but he hasn't lost his ability to communicate and take charge of the OL. I also think they need to upgrade RG. McGlinchey will be back at RT, and Compton has shown he's an asset in the run game. Still, Jaylon Moore has a ton of potential and is versatile enough to play OT or OG. Also agree they need to extend Tomlinson...he's "steady Eddie" at LG. He and TW form a very tough twosome on the left side. At QB, Jimmy will either get traded or released. They'll need the cap space to re-sign some of the 1-yr contracts to extensions, plus extending Deebo. I do want to see them sign a vet QB to b/u Lance. We're pretty set at RB...extend Wilson, for sure. WR's a position of strength, finally. Love how Jennings has emerged as the stud I thought he'd be. They also need to get a better receiving & blocking TE to support Kittle.

On defense, with Al Shaair's development Ryans has a nice problem with Greenlaw returning. As for Kinlaw, he'll be 100% healthy next season and can definitely be a real stud. I'd look for Street to be gone. Omenihu's showing what he can bring...he was an outright steal for a 2023 6th rd pick. I'd expect Key to re-sign...he's seeing what playing in one of the best DL's in the league is like. Ebukam started slowly, but is coming on. Wouldn't give up on him just yet. Hurst hasn't stayed healthy enough to make an impact. I like how Ambry Thomas has learned quickly from his mistakes...he looks to be a keeper. Not really sure about Lenoir. Much as I love a healthy Verrett, that's been his big problem, staying healthy. Norman just needs to go away. CB has to be a draft and/or FA priority. S isn't all that solid, either. Ward's good, but not sure they'd want to invest heavily in him. Hufanga has to learn how to play better pass defense. Tartt's good when healthy, there again, that's been a major issue with him. There's always some good S to draft.

I'm among those who've been very impressed with Gould after his injury. He seems to be like his old self, and that's a very good thing. Wishnowsky's had a disappointing season. He's still young, so should bounce back. Agree, Cannon's the best KR we've had in some time. Bring him back.

Really? I feel like we might bring him back to camp, but we really need an upgrade here.

My list is revised. Lol, I made my list when I was pissed off after they lost to the Cards at home WITH COLT MCCOY!!!!
Of the guys we have signed for 2022 I'd move on from Jimmy, Ford, Skule and seriously consider Ebukam.

I'd also keep most of our RFA/ERFA players too.

Re-signing is probably more important than going after top free agents.

I'd keep KW, but that's me.

Agreed on Laken, I don't think Key will get these crazy offers, Hyder got $3.5M a yr, when people said he'd get $10M a yr.

I'd do 1yr vet minimum for Tartt, max.

AA, yes saves $10.424M.
I hope they keep Jimmy G just to piss off a portion of the fanbase alone

but mostly because I love have a handsome winner under center
