What will Jimmy's trade value be in the offseason?

They clearly want to deal jimmy...no one wants him though.

After almost 700 pages, this take makes the most sense to me.
Let's use Indy as a base line. They don't have a 1st round pick, so they are not drafting a franchise QB (especially in this class). If they wanted Mariota, that would be done. I think they are legit interested in Jimmy, BUT they want medicals before they commit to $25 mil.

If I'm Yee, I'd be negotiating an extension with team friendly terms, possibly heavily incentivized.

Lynch, take a 3rd this year, with a conditional pick next year.

Get it done.

I agree completely with this.

I thought Baker was headed there?

Baker wants Indy. No indication Colts want Baker.
Key going to visit the lions today....SF a couple plays away from going to the SB and they're more worried about getting some day 2 picks vs making the roster better right now.

I know there's a ton of talent left in free agency....but man no one can tell me they've improved the roster thus far.

Agree with everything except 3rd round pick

We neeeeed their 2nd rounder (42 overall) bc this draft is loaded at our positions of need and we can grab a 1st round talent

I would offer up our mid rounds picks to sweeten the deal if necessary

this...Colts moved off Wentz in part because of his attitude, can't imagine they'd be all about him. I also read that the colts FO has a ton of respect for Andrew Berry (he was there for 7 yrs) and if Berry was done with Baker, can't imagine INDY would be in.

Baker makes sense in Seattle with Carrol, also I read that the New Orleans FO were big fans of Baker during the draft process. Who knows now though.

I think INDY is down to Jimmy (who they wanted since the combine) or Matt Ryan. IF Ryan get's moved then who's the QB in ATL?

At this point I'd swap 2nds and ask for a conditional 3rd that can become a 2nd based on playing time in 2023.

I think ATL sticks with Matt Ryan at this point. They were probably gonna take a low ball offer for him being that they were getting Watson. I can see Baker in Seattle or NO.

So, actual play is trumped by virtue of the team making the SB or going deep into playoffs ? Am I reading it correctly ?
How come only the QB position gets this luxury of a team effort win? Why not a kicker, a center, a corner back ? Maybe offensive lineman ? Especially in a game where your QB throws less than 10 times ?

Even then, this game can be played too.
Rex Grossman made the Super Bowl. So was he really that bad ?

Yes after that Superbowl he had an 8-16 record with 29 TDs and 34 INTs.

Even during that Super Bowl year, his completion percentage was 54.6%, he threw for less than 3200 yards, and had a 23-20 TD-INT ratio. He was a known bad quarterback that finished his career a loser with bottom feeder stats.

Today more likely...his roster bonus is due by 4PM EST.

apparently ATL fans think he's gone (or at least what him gone lol). Also the team getting him isn't paying all that cash. ATL will have a $40M DM hit trading him. Not sure what the cap hit would be for the team taking on Ryan.
