What will Jimmy's trade value be in the offseason?

Yah, dude sucks in the playoffs. Hope he heals and the 49ers aren't on the hook for a 7.5 injury settlement.

He made the NFC Championship Game with a busted up shoulder and thumb. A more healthy Jimmy G made the Super Bowl. So is he really that bad?

Did you see his stats?

"Jimmy Garoppolo has a passer rating of 74.1 with 962 yards, 4 touchdowns and 6 interceptions in 7 games in the playoffs in his career."

It seems the team wins in spite of him. Those stats are horrendous.
So we've been hearing for months that SF wants 2 2nd rd picks NOW PFT is reporting that Lynch has TWO 2nd rd picks on the table and Jimmy is still here? Yeah I'm calling b******t on that report.

So many BS reports surrounding Jimmy. BUT he's still on the niners roster which I didn't expect so who the hell knows anymore. Two 2nd's would be awesome.

After almost 700 pages, this take makes the most sense to me.
Let's use Indy as a base line. They don't have a 1st round pick, so they are not drafting a franchise QB (especially in this class). If they wanted Mariota, that would be done. I think they are legit interested in Jimmy, BUT they want medicals before they commit to $25 mil.

If I'm Yee, I'd be negotiating an extension with team friendly terms, possibly heavily incentivized.

Lynch, take a 3rd this year, with a conditional pick next year.

Get it done.

Agree with everything except 3rd round pick

We neeeeed their 2nd rounder (42 overall) bc this draft is loaded at our positions of need and we can grab a 1st round talent

I would offer up our mid rounds picks to sweeten the deal if necessary

Agreed 100%

Throw in a 5th or 5th & 6th

So, actual play is trumped by virtue of the team making the SB or going deep into playoffs ? Am I reading it correctly ?
How come only the QB position gets this luxury of a team effort win? Why not a kicker, a center, a corner back ? Maybe offensive lineman ? Especially in a game where your QB throws less than 10 times ?

Even then, this game can be played too.
Rex Grossman made the Super Bowl. So was he really that bad ?

Yes after that Superbowl he had an 8-16 record with 29 TDs and 34 INTs.

Even during that Super Bowl year, his completion percentage was 54.6%, he threw for less than 3200 yards, and had a 23-20 TD-INT ratio. He was a known bad quarterback that finished his career a loser with bottom feeder stats.

I will not stand for this Rex Grossman slander!

Don't know how true this is, but damn it if this is true. Why haven't we taken that?

Report says Lynch claims to have 2 seconds on the table and everyone is calling bs. So, all potential trading partners agree with you.

I hope not. Ryan and baker and even Jordan love are probably ahead of him in terms of our infamous domino. I'd take 2 2s in a heartbeat.

pretty much...the reports were that's what they wanted for Jimmy, so now they have it and aren't moving him? Yeahhhhh
I mean maybe they're 2031 and 2032 2nd rd picks

Maybe the deal is done and is pending Jimmy's physical. There's no way we turn that down.

Lynch should at least make it more believable

I don't really buy 2 2nd rounders but some people are getting a little ridiculous with how low his value is. I don't see how a team would be too excited to get Baker Mayfield or Matt Ryan over Jimmy. One the Browns prolly want more cuz Bakers younger. Two what will Atlanta do at QB? They become part of the Jimmy pool if somehow Matt's traded first. Also they take a huge dead money hit. And 3 Jordan Love has almost no value whatsoever. He's a complete unknown.

All that being said I wanted to package Jimmy and some picks to get up high in the 2nd or even somewhere in the first. Right now I'd take a 4 and a conditional 4/3 to get some money cleared to fill out the roster. Why aren't we going after Z. Smith?

One of the biggest issues with JG right there. How many games has JG put the team on his back, or does he even have the ability to do so?
No team is trading for this guy any time soon.

Two 2nd round picks? Way more than I thought the niners could get for him.
