If there really is an offer for 2 second round picks the Niners should take it before that team sobers up.

Report says Lynch claims to have 2 seconds on the table and everyone is calling bs. So, all potential trading partners agree with you.
Hahaha, right!! And Hunter's laptop has nothing incriminating on it. C'mon Lynch, at leat make it believable: A 4th and a conditional 6th.

Never thought of that. What if that is what is holding up his trade?
so pending a physical there is a trade place, which makes sense.

Pretty sure this bluff of two 2nd rounders being offered is old news (circa 3/11). It's just come back up & is getting legs.
Matt Hesselbeck said he believes Mayfield to Seattle, to compete with Drew Lock makes the most sense.
Looking at the Colts' picks this year, post Wentz trade, I don't see them trading their highest (second round) pick away. They have two thirds & two fourths. They'll probably offer one of each. And we should take them, if they do. Of course, Lynch is now alleged to have said he has an offer for two seconds (of unknown draft year). So …. ?
And, if Indy does go after Mattie Ice (and his huge salary!) which makes sense to me IF they're in compete and win-now mode with the rest of the AFC, we'll really be left holding the bag …. aka "Jimmy".

Two 2nd rd picks? I'll believe It when I see It. If that we're true, surely Lynch would have done the deal by now.

The #49ers have a trade offer worth two 2nd round draft picks for Jimmy Garoppolo but apparently John Lynch is looking for more.https://t.co/2OzSPcWXsE pic.twitter.com/C1UDAEKlQz

No doubt if Lynch was offered two 2nds, he'd have taken it.

Maybe they were in the 2025 and 2026 draft.

Let's use Indy as a base line. They don't have a 1st round pick, so they are not drafting a franchise QB (especially in this class). If they wanted Mariota, that would be done. I think they are legit interested in Jimmy, BUT they want medicals before they commit to $25 mil.
If I'm Yee, I'd be negotiating an extension with team friendly terms, possibly heavily incentivized.
Lynch, take a 3rd this year, with a conditional pick next year.
Get it done.
Agree with everything except 3rd round pick
We neeeeed their 2nd rounder (42 overall) bc this draft is loaded at our positions of need and we can grab a 1st round talent
I would offer up our mid rounds picks to sweeten the deal if necessary
At this point I'd swap 2nds and ask for a conditional 3rd that can become a 2nd based on playing time in 2023.
Haven't heard that one before and like it. Wonder what the Indy team orthopod thinks about making a decision on how soon he could throw….idea being to see how he throws sooner rather than later. Orthopods I've talked to were iffy but 3-4 mos was kinda the range . The sooner the better but he can't put any undue stress on that shoulder til it is safe to do so… for our and JG's safety, it just has to be healed and that's before he can even begin warmup throws.
if we have an orthopod out there please join in. Can't imagine hurrying the healing time and last thing we want is for him to reinjure while healing. With swapping 2nds tho , before Colts knew how JG can throw, would put some risk on them but for a bona fide starter, maybe they'd agree early just for a 2nds swap.
didn't explain that very well but hopefully got the idea out there.

Some kind of physical or review of records must be what they are waiting for beside seeing the other QBs traded. There was that rumor of them being mad at Jimmy not getting surgery right after the season. The was only a month earlier. He still wouldn't have been healthy and back throwing to trade him at end of Feb. Maybe they could tell more then on how the surgery was healing.
We maybe are waiting for a month now after he did get the surgery for some king of evaluation before a team gives up higher picks for him.
Where is our doc with an opinion on this?

I like the idea of a pick swap with Indy. Jumping from 61 to 42 would be a big value increase this year.
