What will Jimmy's trade value be in the offseason?

Well this has been disappointing lol.
so.... The falcons? honestly, I don't think any team wants to give up picks for an injured Jimbo, and I wouldn't be surprised if Kyle starts Jimmy next season just to save face. Trading up for the 3rd pick is starting to look like a mistake

None. ATL is gonna either draft a QB or sign someone cheap. Love if they took Winston from New Orleans but I doubt it.

Just cut your loses and move on at this point.

I just don't see it. So what they were gonna trade for Watson last week and pay him megabucks. Then they lose out on Watson and become financially unviable need to spend pennies at the QB position. If they need to spend pennies on the position how on earth did they get deep in the running for Watson? Doesn't make much sense to me.

Obviously, there is a huge difference in trading away salary for salary than trading away a player (and part of his salary) and then taking on another big contract.

Plus that's putting aside the obvious idea that you make sacrifices for an elite QB and not an average at best one.

I guess Jimmy is starting next year. What a s**t show, lmfao. No hope for next season.

Nope, at best he'll be the backup. With a fair competition Trey would have started last season. With a fair competition this season Trey will start.

I don't even think it will be a competition. Shanahan will simply name Lance the starter as the jumping off point for the offseason. There's no reason for them to start Jimmy - he'll be gone in 2023 at the very latest, if not traded when a team's QB is injured in pre-season / first 8 weeks of the season. They're not gonna just hold Lance back after looking to trade compensation for JG all offseason.
I am blaming this more John than I am Kyle. When it comes to trading players, That's completely John's responsibility. Kyle has say on who to keep and that but once they agree on moving a player the responsibility falls on John when it comes to compensation and asking price and all that.

at $27M?! give me a break.

It's gonna be constant media b******t all yr...players getting asked who they think should be the starter. Jimmy is the locker room king. If Lance makes a bad read, let's look over at the QB making $27M holding a clip board, should he be the starter? Dude you can't have that s**t with Lance. It's gotta be his team, not some split reps all through camp b******t.

Its not a mistake unless Trey sucks. Thinking Jimmy would be worth more than a 2nd round pick, or especially if they had 2 2nds on the table and didn't take it, is a fireable mistake.

I didn't realize that ATL was eating part of his contract. That pretty much eliminates them. Whatever the reason, it's clear that the rest of the league doesn't value JG near as much as his fans do. He's like the last guy left in a playground game. It's like okay, I'll guess I'll pick Jimmy.

The mistakes were made by the Jaguars and the Jets.

That will become more important as the 2022 season develops, as well as the idea that what we gave up to get Trey wasn't all that much to give up.

No one likes him. The article in todays WZ even says that Lynch isn't a good liar, and he's been bluffing.

Where the hell did I say that? Jimmy is a FA after this yr anyway you can't trade him after this yr.

I want him off the roster asap.

Me too. We need to reset our QB 1 and stay with the plan to retain Debo and Bosa.

Now it's looking like NO, Car, ATL,or Sea.

Hes competing with Marriotta and Mayfield and probably better then both but. Marriotta won't cost a pick and will get sub $8M money.

If he doesn't get traded he may stick on our team until he shows he can throw a football. We will end up waiting to see if a starting QB gets injured before the regular season trade deadline.

Prepare to be pissed as s**t then.

I think it's far more likely than not that the SF QBs this training camp are 1. Lance, 2. Garoppolo

Maybe JG gets traded at the draft, or in pre-season, or at the mid-season trade deadline. But I think he's just as likely to be on the team until he's a free agent a year from now.

Dude you can't flip flop starters and have Jimmy as a backup making $27M. He can't be on the team and if he isn't it can NOT be at that price point.

Why can't you have Jimmy be the backup? Shanahan doesn't give a crap about who's making $27m. It's about winning. They drafted Lance to start. Jimmy will be gone in 2023 at the latest. They have no reason to start Jimmy G.
Wow, Jimmy really is dog balls. Cut him. He still won't find a team immediately, he will get signed if someone gets hurt in training camp. Just confirms what we knew, Jimmy great locker room guy and teammate, below average, injury prone QB. Not sure it could be more obvious. Lol..
Wow...this offseason be crazy. I never would have thought so many QB trades.

Next up Baker Mayfield will be traded. Panthers or Seattle possibly.

Guess Jimmy is coming back. Will hold a clipboard or see if another team has an injury occur in Training Camp.

Lynch and company played hardball and lost. They may have had a tentative offer on the table with the Colts but the QB circus kept changing the game, so the Colts wanted to wait and see. I assume neither expected the Watson ripple to happen.

Oh well. Great depth in the QB room

Its funny that a lot of the people who think Ryan stinks (not necessarily you) refuse to acknowledge his 2021 was essentially the same as Jimmy's 2021.

And Jimmy had a SUBSTANTIALLY better situation around him.

Trading up for Lance has nothing to do with trying to trade Jimmy....none.

How does the fact that no team is willing to trade for your QB equal he must be our starter in 2022? That literally makes zero sense. Like anything if you can't find a trade partner then cut him and move on with the kid you invested in. Go use that cash to get better around him. Simple as that
