The Niners secondary does have issues on deep throws. It's been better lately but I was still concerned at the end of the game. I was shocked when Dak took off on that trun at the end of the game. I fully expected to see a couple of deep throws to the end zone and was hoping there wasn't a PI called. Thanks Dak.

I didn't see any panic. On what should have been the final 49ers drive, Shanahan's Deebo play was brilliant. All JimmyG had to do on the next play was wait for Williams to get set and the 49ers would have run out the clock. JimmyG got anxious and went too fast.

Jimmy goes into a shell
Defense goes into panic mode(almost 80 yards in 38 seconds and zero timeouts)
And Kyle out coaches himself.

Yet you look at Dallas and they and their super star QB, defense and coaching did the same thing.

This is just how the NFL is. Dak, Big Ben, Hurts, Carr all couldn't made a play.

Why yall mad after a road playoff win? We all know Jimmy is who he is and throws dumb picks/misses wide open kill shots.

Yet we still won. Shouldn't that tell you we have a hell of a team and coaching staff?

But they did finish games. They got the W in three consecutive must-win situations. They make it close for content (entertainment value).

Fans often wonder why teams go into a prevent defense. It's really not a different defense as much as how the DBs play. They tend to give the receivers a little extra room because they don't want to get beat deep, The result is a lot of room for short passes and it allows teams to move down the field quickly. QBs today are very good at the short passes so it's not surprising that so many teams are able to tie or win games in the closing seconds.

Perhaps the question should be "why can't the 49ers blow teams out"? The answer is they aren't good enough.
