Maybe it's because national sports media is in LA, and they've been broadcasting from Sofi all year, but you'd be hard pressed to find any coverage giving the 49ers credit for this run. EVERYTHING is framed through the lense of LA (or Dallas or GB). Never seen anything like it.

Won 9 of their last 11. 3-0 in games played against the remaining teams. They have the best run game left, best defense left, star players at every level, and they have that coveted "it" factor we see every few years. People/media are wrongly obsessed with stats to tell the story

If I was an analyst or writer or broadcaster I'd be excited to talk about this type of thing instead of obsessing about ranking a QB or some statistical narrative. There's so much more to the game.

I think Akers is a great RB. I'm not going to disagree that if you swap them his production might be better.

I will disagree that he will ball out this Sunday. I think he gets 18 attempts for 60 yds and possibly a TD. Niners run game is strong. Mattford will have to beat us with his arm. I think Shanahan counts on his mistakes.
