JR: BUT WHY? WHY IS HE HERE? Folks, you will remember that after the loss to the Rams in the NFC Championship game, FROPWNS vowed to take a break. And who could blame him or any of us who have waited so long for our sixth coveted championship. Now what that break actually entailed I have no earthly idea. Some say he went back to his roots, showed up in AIR JORDANS, and ruined your black tie affair. Some say he climbed the mountains in Peru. Some say he personally committed himself to a vegetarian diet. Some say that his flatulence after switching it up became legendary. Some say he dived into the ocean, went down 20,000 leagues, came back holding a used Trojan condom, looked around, and said "Yep, the planet is f**ked." Some say he advised Elon Musk never to say stupid things. Then, Elon, well, said stupid things. Some say Fro played Elden Ring. Others say he finally finished, ten years later, Grand Theft Auto V. Some say he served as a roadie for Justin Bieber. Whatever the hell Fro did does not matter. He is here. He is here now. And by the look on his face, he means business.
FP: I am not amused. I grow tired of hearing about how fans are blamed for expecting too much from athletes whose livelihoods are tied to a game. In a time where more Americans cannot afford to own a home, pay gas, buy food, continue to deal with a pandemic which is still taking lives, all while living in a world that is teetering on the brink of a potential larger conflict, it comes off as hollow when anyone from the entertainment industry complains about their situation.
Don't get it twisted. Deebo has every right to go after as much money as he wants. But I also have every right to criticize and point out that the antics we have seen in the last 72 hours or so have been unprofessional and childish. And that while he has every right to not want to get beatdown like a piñata carrying the ball as a "wideback", we, as fans, have the same right to say that is why you are even close to sniffing 20 million plus a year. Your overall play, Deebo, was what made you valuable. And we loved you for it. If some fans were racist a-holes, f**k 'em. They may be 49er fans, but they ain't decent people. I personally reject those cowards. They ain't me, and they ain't all of us. But that is not what this is about. No more games.
At some point, you decided you wanted to go. Maybe it was after the pounding of the NFC Championship game started to settle in for you. Maybe it was something else. If you want to go, you have every right to go. All I say, is say it out loud. Be up front. No shadow games. But your approach, having your brother leak you want out, and then others leaking more information, it does not sit well. It is going to tarnish your legacy here, just like it did TO. And frankly, you will get traded. You will make money. And you will have success. But so will we.
And I am going to surprise you. I want to thank you for what you did for us. My five year old daughter watched you and yelled "DEEEEBBBBBOOOOOO" when you did everything that you could to get us back to the Super Bowl. Hell, man. You do not even know it, yet. But a generation of niner kids loved you. Yeah, you will be loved where ever you go, but my man. There is something about the faithful. They never forget the legends. None of this, of course, matters in our era of selfish intentions and flat-out greed. We want you to stay, you want to go.
So, I say let the games begin.
