It's easy to stay calm and step up in the pocket. Or, not overthink when you are up 14-0 etc. My concern is when he is trailing by two scores against top tier teams. If he wants to be an elite QB, he needs to play his game and be able to overcome adversity like this in the postseason.

Tom Brady came back from ten down in the 4th quarter to beat an all time great D in the SB. 28-3 is historic. Mahomes has overcome several two score deficits to beat top tier competition.

None of then did that in their 2nd years though. It's a progression. Give it time.

Can't be as inaccurate as he was today though.

It is also easier to come from behind when the OL is build around pass protection.

Since we now have a QB that can sling it, perhaps it's time to shift the OL strength to favor passing a bit more.
MVP odds just made a steep correction. CMC is a strong #2 tho

I think so. Also at some point, we will prioritize a bit more in OL than offensive weapons.

For this season, the plan is just to not to get behind during the playoff.

SB more important anyways

f**k the super bowl. Lol I'm worried about even getting the 1 seed now.

hopefully Brock learned a lot this game cause he seemed really thrown off on where to go with the ball. His timing was wayyy off and he didn't seem decisive at all.

also, wow the o line is f**ked
He looked like hurts did against us.confused and slow.

ravens very good coverage with very good pressure. They also collided the pocket in unison so it's hard to escape anywhere. We don't really do that but I'd love they learn how.

THIS. Niners have more talent on defense but Baltimore showed what team defense looks like. Humbling game.

I don't think Purdy looked nearly as bad as the stats indicate. Three of the picks were batted or tipped. Might see that many over the course of 8-10 games but in one? Unreal.

OL, especially the right side, could barely block for more than 2 seconds. No WR separation. Ugly game all around.

What are you taking about. He should have had at least three more picks that were straight up dropped. He looked awful.

I disagree.

One was WR Snead not looked for the ball. That was on Snead.

Exactly. I wonder if people actually watch the games or just look at stats and listen to pundits.

I don't think so. One stinker by Lamar and a couple of amazing games by Purdy to lock up the #1 seed and he could still get it. This one definitely hurt though being the MNF game.
It happens...

3 of those picks weren't all him(first one was).

Offense was very sloppy all around and so was Purdy at times. Kyle also had a bad game plan, which is rare, especially since his 2nd half adjustments were also poor.

Next game.

That's exactly it. Gen Z is largely a pathetic bunch that never played a down of tackle football themselves because mommy and daddy were too scared their little boy would get hurt. The result is a bunch of weakasses that get their football knowledge playing fantasy football, madden and watching idiots like nick wright

His odds took a major hit. There isn't a better indicator IMO.

It's over for him. It will likely be between lamar, allen and CMC

Prime Time games are what ultimately matter. Two of Purdy's bad games were national games. He could throw for 1200 yards and 10 TDs the next two weeks and still not win MVP.
Poor decision making cost himself and the team big time tonight.
