Tom Brady came back from ten down in the 4th quarter to beat an all time great D in the SB. 28-3 is historic. Mahomes has overcome several two score deficits to beat top tier competition.
None of then did that in their 2nd years though. It's a progression. Give it time.

It is also easier to come from behind when the OL is build around pass protection.
Since we now have a QB that can sling it, perhaps it's time to shift the OL strength to favor passing a bit more.
