Actually as stupid as that sounds it's a valid thought. Sometimes a backup QB catches the opponent off guard because there's really no film on him of any consequence. The last time Allen played in a real game was at least two years ago.

I would rather have Dobbs at the QB spot this week more mobility.

Dobbs has some game we saw that last season he had some good games for various teams. but I trust Kyle here. he is in win now mode. he's gonna play whoever gives the best chance to win. he knows what these guys can do. Dobbs will be active of course.

He had a very good season after recovering from the elbow injury, and this shoulder injury doesn't seem serious at this point. We'll see how much time he misses if it extends beyond this week.

reality is we are one of the best teams to deal with something like this if we get downhill on our blocks with Mason and CMC we are gonna be a problem for anybody. then you pass off that, but Shanny can really hide our QB well if the run game is cooking. we aren't a drop back and sling it all over the yard club.

The turf will be frozen solid so no reason to let Brock get crushed on that with our crappy Oline. This is a good business decision by him and his agent.

Greg Cosell on Brock Purdy's performance against the Seahawks:
— Coach Yac 🗣 (@Coach_Yac) November 21, 2024
"In this game Purdy did not see the field very well. There were throws to be made that he left on the field, down-field throws. I can't tell you why he's not seeing it, but he's not been as decisive.
There were… pic.twitter.com/FobRm1DjeO
Nothing about the OLine, Greg?
Didn't listen to the whole interview? He said the OL didn't play well. Even questioned if father time has caught up to Trent
talking about the full quote... not some audio.
