Jets still have Aaron. Seahawks are happy with Geno. Who has the worst record in the league? The raiders? Take them out, they'll draft the best QB coming out of the draft.

edit. Jags, raiders, and giants have the worst record. The jags are sticking with Lawrence. I don't know anything about the raiders and how they feel about O Connel. The titans will probably give Levis an other year or 2. If the jets move off Aaron maybe Purdy could
go to the giants or jets. I'm sure he would love playing in the freezing cold and dealing with the NY media. I still think the 49ers are only negotiating with themselves. Make him an offer less than what baker makes. If he doesn't like it, let Purdy gauge Interest elsewhere. He'll end up back in SF.

This is not a good year to draft a QB.

On paper it isn't but s always there will be a couple guys that rise up the chart at the combine. Then there are sometimes a couple of hidden gems.

Jets are 0-5 in games where Rodgers had a chance to lead them to a victory on the last drive. He's not the same Rodgers anymore. Like Leonard Williams said yesterday, he's terrified to take hits now, which is what happens when you get older. Not everyone is Brady and even Brady admitted he retired because it gets harder and harder to get up after each hit. He has a year left in the NFL at best.

Geno is 34 years old and will never be a QB to set the world on fire. Seahawks would replace him in a heartbeat if they thought they could get someone better and younger.

Also this an awful draft to be needing a quarterback.

They'll go up because there's no one else but that doesn't necessarily mean they're good prospects. Look at the Lance draft.

Purdy is a 24 year old QB who was a serious MVP contender in his first full season as a starter. You're delusional if you think he'll get paid a penny under $45 million a year.

He's a talented young QB in a league where there is a serious dearth of QB talent. Someone will happily pay him and the 49ers can return to QB limbo praying that a draft pick or some reclamation project will turn out well for them.

Combine warriors are the WORST kind of QB to draft. Based on guys like Purdy and Bo Nix, teams are looking for guys with a lot of quality college experience.

The only thing I'm afraid of is doing what Dallas did with Dak.
Purdy was very good with a treasure trove of talent. That talent isn't there this year and definitely won't be there next year. I hope the 49ers see that and pay accordingly.

Dallas's problem isn't Dak, its that Jerry Jones refuses to relinquish control of the team to anyone. Their problem isn't Dak, it wasn't Tony Romo, its always been Jerry Jones having a compulsive need to run everything, hence why the only coaches he'll ever hire are yes men and puppets.

He was an MVP candidate the voters couldn't wait to get reasons not to vote for. I doubt it is just the media who thought he was overrated. Sure someone will pay him but it would probably be more a Baker Mayfield contract then a Patrick Mahomes one.

I think Purdy having been the last pick in the draft is a reason why people will always look to doubt him. If he can play as well as guys taken hundreds of picks before him then the whole system is f**ked.

Look at the Purdy pick. Look at Brady. My point is there are good QBs that can be found in later ronds. Scouts can overlook some guys because they're on a bad team or they're stuck behind a big name player. That's what happened with Montana. He was always behind another QB at ND.

You'll get no argument from me on jerra.

He's the gift that keeps on giving! (For everyone outside of Dallas)

It wasn't so much the last pick thing as it was the stacked offense and Kyle's offense. "His system can make anyone a good QB". "What would this team be without all that talent on offense."

It will be much closer to Mahomes than Mayfield.

Trevor Lawrence, who has been only average since coming into the league, just got $55M/yr. That is where the negotiations will start with Purdy. If he gets a five year deal, $55m/yr will not be in the top 10 by the fifth year.
